Yup, the temperture is 100º at 6PM here in Grants Pass Oregon and Pierre Tardif just wished me a Happy Birthday on the BB. Ain't life something when ya can read posts that make ya laugh and practically wet ya pants. Newsweek said Grants Pass is #2 of the 5 best places to retire and live in the world. Its also one of the hardest places to earn a living, guess thats why persons retire here.

I certainly enjoyed reading the BB today, alot of stuff going on due to the change of weather, especially like the heated conversations.

Whew...........

Joey,

I was down in GP this past weekend paintin the mother-inlaws house, beautiful weather and fun to see the Hot air balloons early in the morning. Did you paint any of those Bears? How about John Peterman - did he do any? Some were a riot others needed a little help.

Joey, we had a heat wave here in the Peninsula!!

Yup! Got to a whappin' 87 degrees!!!!

People didn't know what to do...there were lines out the door at Baskin Robbins!

My friend Katy and I drove out to the hook and sat and watched the colors changing on the water and the coral and peach tones of the snow on the Olympics as the sun set over Vancouver Island......

The cool breezes coming off the water were so refreshing.
A seal poked it's head up now and then out of the water,...I gathered some flat stones to take back home and paint stuff on.

It's hard to make a living here too. Alot come here to retire, I'm barely sqeeking by each month, but I think I've found the best spot on earth!

I feel really blessed to be here!

A:)

It almost hit a hundred here today in the Fraser Valley. Perfect day to move the big heavy tools. Nothing froze or got wet.

Send that sun East! It's been nothing but rain and cool temps here for weeks. It's depressing! [Smile]

We had our first rain in a month and a half. The temperature and the humidity are both creeping toward 100.

Joey, do you know tht there's a can of POR15 that's been sitting here since last year? It came back as undeliverable and its still sitting here. I found it while I was cleaning out old boxes yesterday.

:^)

Our heat wave will last til September, guess thats the difference between between Grants Pass, Oregon and the rest of the Great North Wet. Check out the weather in Medford, then add 10º- 12º for Grants Pass, we are at an altitude of 948 feet above sea level. Whew, another scorcher today before it goes back into the 90's.

During the summer I tend to work in the evenings, spending my days at the river.
