Sorry that we couldn't stay longer and visit. It took us a little longer to get home. We got a little lost and when we finally made it to the 401 we got to meet one of Canada's finest RCMP's....TWICE.

Glad to hear you made it home safe Laura. Wish you guys could have stayed longer. That Grand Daughter of yours is a cutie!

A correction Laura. The RCMP, aka "The Mounties", do not patrol the highways in Ontario. Most likely you met a OPP (Ontario Provinical Police) Officier. Sounds like you might of met two of them! These guys would be like the Michigan State Police along I69 or I75. Except the OPP have nicer hats!

I hope your donation to the Crown is not very big.

Chuck, It was dark. You are probably right. I am not going back to check. Technically we met the same officer twice.

We had been on the 401, driving in the dark for quite awhile. He pulled us over, told us that he had gotten quite a few calls about us without any trailer lights. My daughter, Sarah got out and went back to look at the lights with him. They push the plug in and the lights worked. so after all the info exchanging, he let us go. We drove on a little ways and I told Sarah that I didn't think the lights were working again. I pulled over, put it in park, and she jumped out. The lights were fine. We took off again, and here comes our OPP-lights flashing. He said the lights weren't working again. Come to find out that when I put the vehicle in park-the lights worked. As soon as I put them in drive they went out. He ha dus put on our hazards and thats how we drove all the way home. Talk about feeling like a dummy. Iwas waiting for drivers to come up next to us and make hand motions. But no one did.
