As many of you know, Andy & I are planning the SignCrafters Rendezvous for August 20-23rd. We are struggeling with the idea of having a pig roast/bon fire night. And, what better people to get feed back from than the Letterhead community. What we would like to hear is how you would feel about an authentic pig roast, spicket and all. The towns people here love the idea, but the more I thought about it, the more leary I became. So, let me have it--GOOD OR BAD. Thanks guys.

Lotti,
I'm not sure if he will make it. We have not received his registration form yet--I hope there will be alot of you here in Tomahawk. By reading the posts here, you are all a fun bunch!! Do you think we should roast, or bring the pig in a Nesco? Lotti, will you be able to make it to the meet? Thanks again.

Hi laurie...We looked at doing that here at our meet in July...Just didn't have the man power to pull the allnighter looking after it and the stumble bums if you know what I mean...So we are going with putting the wild boar roasts in a big BBQ...Not as time consumming and not the manpower needed....But hay if you can do it go for it...I suppose if you whent with smaller pigs they would finish faster but more pigs needed then...also is it an open spit or closed...open is more fun but again takes longer to cook...Anyway just my input...if you can do it I can atest it's mighty tasty...A wee did a family run one here for a number of years until the number of people comming out grow to large and we had to pull the pin on it...Good luck...I know this hasn't made your decision any easier..Thanks Pat

I remember going to a gathering with an open spit pig, we all got sicker than dogs. Why not try Hawaiian style, dig up one imu, then throw the pig in. Try this link, for instructions....
