I have several 30" x 144" 1/2 mdo signs to do for a shopping center. I can only get 120" lenths so I'll be adding 24" panels to get the lenth I need.
I'll be mounting them on 1x2 premiun grade lumber.
I'd like to fill in the crack of the butt joint with a compound that will last over the long haul. I'll sand and prime and paint one shot over it so it isn't noticable.
I've heard of:
Woodfiller Bondo Epoxy
Anyone have any exeperince or tips?
Thanks, Mike

Two part epoxy, and add fumed silica to thicken for a crack filler

The Scarf cut will be the smoothest option for your splice. It also adds more strength. the thicker the plywood the better.
