I use this for paper banners. I like how it brushes...but very hard to find. Called Rich Art but they give me vendors who sell some of their products, but can't (apparently no sales info on who buys which product) direct me to one that specifically sells this product. Otherwise what are you guys and gals using for quick paper banners? Please note brand name and maybe where to buy?

Hi Mick. Showcard colours are getting scarce and hard to find, since there arn't many who order them these days. Personally, I use the 1-Shot poster colours for paper banners ( oil based ) since i find that it doesn't wrinkle the paper as water based colours tend to do.
Way back when B.C. (before computers) I used to do a lot of showcard work. If I had a colour that I wanted to give some additional "flow" to, I'd add a couple of drops of Photo-Flo solution to the paint. This is available at most Photographic Supply stores, and is used to prevent water drops spotting the developed prints. You can also use Glycerine, which is available at most Drug Stores. Other additives that can be used in showcard or tempra colours are Gum Arabic or Mucilage to improve adhesion.
I've never heard of the Rich Art Moist colors of which you've inquired. Arn't all water based colours Moist? Posted by Pierre Tardif (Member # 3229) on :
I used to work with Rich-Art window paint on tyvek, but as Ken said I am sure it is not intended for being used on paper as it will make the paper wrinkles. One Shot Poster paint would be the best choice for paper. However, latex or water based paint flows better than oil.

Hi Mick how goes the battle...Did you get my meet info I sent you???? In the Rich art Paint department I use to get it out of British Columbia...But haven't ordered any in a few years so not sure of its availablity....But if you have some back issues of Sign Craft, or go to sign crafts web site and ask them as rich art use to advertize with them...and they just might be able to direct you in the right direction...Cheers Bro. Once again this website comes thru...anyone not paying their dues should consider doing so...I have more than received back in information, sources, etc. that made my projects go easier...and all for just $50 a year....can't beat it.
