What should I do?

What should I bring?

Does anyone want do spend some time carving?

Is anyone else bringing something of their own to carve?

Does anyone have a topic for a workshop or seminar?

Does anyone else still us WOOD?

Is carving still relivant (who spelled that? [Wink] )

Ahhhhhh, Three quiet days of just carving..... [Smile]

Joe,
I'd rather carve than paint, I find fewer people laugh at my work when I'm holding a sharp knife [Wink]

Besides New England is the home of wood carving right?

If you bring some HDU squares, I'll be happy to make chips out of them.

I can bring some smooth ceramic pieces for sharpening chisels or pocket knives if anyone wants some.

I tried a little carving in school... and kinda liked it! I would like to try again, but usually people don't let me handle sharp objects... [Razz]

OK!

I guess I'll just bring a few things to play on and have a nice relaxed meet...I'll bring a few extra tools and some shapes to carve.

Hey, is that Chipster, John Kitchner gonna be there? He drives a pretty mean gouge, ya know! [Wink]

Mellow at Mayhem!

Hey Joe,
Ernie's post got me thinking, could you bring a piece already carved and painted for us non-carvers to gild? you know maybe something traditional New England, with the clam shell ends and everything...no rush, just have it carved, primed, painted and ready to gild by friday [Wink]

Ken;
Have got just what you requested from Joe.
Just finished (November 2002) casting scallop shell, and Atlantis type fish for the embellishments on both ends of small carved signs.
Spoke with Joe, "makin chips" $%^#@*(&^szloski earlier today about my questionable apperiance this weekend at the Seaconk gathering, and if I can satisfy my other commitments, will venture up your way and bring them along.
Been having trouble with my new big screen TV lately and can only reflect back when our next door neighbor in the 1950's had a black and white TV. We have a color TV today and it'still "black and white"........
