Anyone got any juicey secrets about themselves that not too many people know about????

I'll go first....

Many people don't know it but I am a sim racing game junkie. On the computer I play "NHRA Drag Racing" and on the Sony PS2 it is "World of Outlaw" Sprint car racing. I am addicted to them!!!!!!

Now you know....

...Anyone else??????

Hey, me too! I have raced the papyrus Nascar sims for the past 7 or so years. Its been really cool how they have developed and evolved with the new bigger better faster computers, and how much online experiences have changed from just two guys connected by modem at 9600kbs to full fields of 43 guys from around the world connected via internet.

My secret is: It's only kinky the first time... [Wink]

My most heinous secret is I love running my car through puddles!! The bigger the splash the better!! I try not to splash people, although I would love to JUST ONCE...

Troy and Tim, do you guys mod or re-skin the sim cars in your games? one fellow i talked to regularly did and it was really neat to do your own "paint schemes" and watch them on the virtual track. i think the web site was sim-paint.com. some games have the paint shop option built into them, but if you can find the correct file (types) drop in your own. not sure if for online racing each participant would need the skin or if it would be on the host server.

as for my fave racing on the PC, i like the older Need For Speed series, Hot Pursuit. with a force feedback wheel and large monitor it's a blast. maybe the new Underground (Import cars) will be good, but it seems many of the newer titles don't have as much fun factor as they once did.

Well, I got this thing about service work. I spent as many years in other shops, building and servicing electric signs and working out of crane trucks and aerial ladders, as I have years spent painting ! I think the people I worked with influenced me some. Lots of people have ragged me about it..."What's a sign painter doing working on electric signs" etc., but for some reason I've always liked that sort of work. I'd be a better painter today, if I hadn't spent so much time servicing stuff. Oh well !

For those of you unfamiliar with Monti Python's Flying Circus, my appologies, but I'm a big fan and I love that song. It is sung by a lumberjack, accompanied by a chorus of Mounted Police. Should be our Canadian anthum....

'..My father thinks I'm crazy cause I wear my sisters clothes

My ex-wife truly believed I was having an affair with Kim Bassinger. She called the house one time and was asking for me when my then wife answered the phone. I was down in the shop when she yelled down that my girlfriend Kim was on the phone. I had no idea what the hell she was talking about. I denied the affair but she never did believe me?

I sure wish I could have at least tapped the woman I was being accused of having an affair with. Women, sheesh.

I am six chapters into a novel....the one I am writing!!

I have found the older I get the more I turn to writing instead of art for self expression.

The book is about an artist kidnapped by a serial killer desirous of someone to "immortalize his vision".

Thought I'd never do it, but it sure is fun!!

This post is similar to one I just did on another fav bb of mine. It was called, "10 things you don't know about me." Here's what I wrote...

1. Cooking isn't my forte. Eating 'good' food is though.

2. I hate junk in the kitchen. The kitchen is the only room that is pretty much spotless. I have a thing for lots of working room on the counters.

3. I don't ride my horse any longer because I'm scared to fall off and really hurt myself. I'm old now and those falls really hurt!

4. I adore Dairy Queen banana splits with hot fudge instead of chocolate.

5. I am a Tim Horton's fanatic. (canadian coffee shop chain) Large coffee, double cream, single sugar, or a medium Ice Cap. MMMMMMMM!

6. I sadly watch that terrible show, "What Not To Wear" and wish that someone would secretly sign me up so I can have some help in getting a fantastic new wardrobe and look!

7. I think Oprah is beautiful, but noticed that she wears too much eye makeup lately. [Smile]

8. I am a lawn cutting fanatic. If the grass is abit too long, I yearn to get out there and hack it off. This is a new habit since I took over the mowing. Am working on stopping before I lose my mind.

9. I'm a house decorating fanatic. I LOVE the smell of fresh paint, sound of a pounding hammer and to breathe in fresh sawdust, means something exciting is being made! I went nutso when we had our last house built for us, I couldn't stay away from those hammers! [Smile]

10. I love shopping in what I call Junk Stores. I love making something out of nothing and having an original whatever it is that no one else has.

Ok, so qualify me as weird if you must! [Smile]

I race Formula Ford racecars (open cockpit) as a (amateur) hobby. The car I drive tops 165 MPH and I mostly drive on road courses (lots of turns - not just one big 'left turn' - that ain't racin').

I don't compete professionally as I never chose to go to driving school - I just have a very good friend who lets me 'test' his car at various events. But I was within two seconds of the track record (at one corse) the second time I drove the car. Unfortunately, another pro driver told me that I would have been a quarter-mile back at that time!! Deflate my ego, will ya'?

I have a need - for speed. Few people know I do this. The real "secrets" I'll keep to myself.
