Okey Dokey...
It's the first Monday of the month again, so I'll be in the Letterhead Chat Room this evening from 6-10pm, Eastern Time. I'll be there to answer and questions, or address any concerns regarding Signgold products and/or proceedures. I'm looking forward to it!

Keep on keepin' on,

Brian,
I won't be able to make it on tonight, so I thought you might answer this on the BB. What colors are best to use as background colors for SG. Most that I have seen is always black. What else looks good? Does it matter which pattern used as to the color used?

Backround colors..I've seen LOTS of 'em work. Basically, it's no different than if you were choosing an outline color for a traditional gild.

Black's a given..it's always gonna fly; but I've seen some really nice jobs using deep rich greens, purples, browns, burgandy...anything that provides some contrast. Personally, I use more contrast when outlining that "more reflective" of the patterns..that being the engine turned, the flourentine swirl and the MiraGold. You can get away with a little less contrast with a satin surface gild.

And yeah CJ..it's good stuff. If I didn't believe in it, I wouldn't work with them. Good products, good company...
You can get it in quantities as small as 2 yard rolls from most quality sign supply distributors. If you're looking for one in your area, try www.SignGold.com/distributors.html

Brian,
I did some the other day and backed it with orange. It was the engine turn. It didn't look bad, but I'e got to outline in white now to make it stand out. Thanks for your suggestions. Great product by the way.
