A while back I posted a photo of our son's guitar in the early stages of being gold leafed and airbrushed. I just wanted to show the finished product. It really sparkles in the bright lights on stage!! You can see it in person at "LetterrRip on Rt. 66" this summer as his band is one of the bands playing then. There will be some other guitars there that are pretty fancy too.

Great Lookin Bass, Bill
Guitars are really fun projects to play with,,
Maybe i can dig up some old pics of some things i've done in the past..........

Here's a pickguard on a Fender Stratocaster I did last year...........

Hand made from 6061-T-6 Aluminum......
Then "hand" engraved using "hand" drawn, Japanese Tattoo art for pattern..........
See, some people do still use a pencil...hahah!!

Am doing one now for the same people, only on a Telecaster...

Seems like some guy from Fenders Custom Shop is interested in doing up some really Kool "One-of-a-Kind' stuff.......We'll see..... [Smile]

I'll send ya pics of the new one when It's done.......if that ever happens....hahah

Like I said......Kool bass Bill, keep em comin'... [Smile]

Beautiful work CJ! How did you do that? My major area of study in college was fine art jewelry and I did alot of gold, silver & copper casting and soldering but never worked with aluminum. Did you hammer that, use a hand held, scibe engraver or a motorize thing like a dremel tool? Just curious. Looks like you enjoyed doing it. It is VERY NICE!
