Great news!!

This is one meet I'm sure looking forward to... and right in my own (former) backyard. Nanaimo is also only 20 minutes north of the world famous historical murals of Chemainus.

It sounds like some great knowledge is to be shared as well as all the usual fun of these things.

Thanks to the Nanaimo crew for hosting this event.

BE THERE!

I believe Jackson may be riding shotgun with me [Smile]

Dear Breakfast Buddy,

Glad to read the meet in Nanaimo is up and running.

I hope that I live up to the billing you've given me.

Looking forward to renewing older friendships and making new ones and working with the "Canadians" in September.

Regards John.

Perfect time of year for a meet there. Hope I can come. Speaking of Diana Krall...the past few weeks I've been stuck on her "Live in Paris" recordings. Is there camping nearby? Will Cody bring his folks? Will Elvis attend?

Wow ... this meet sure popped out of nowhere!
It may be too short notice for us. [Frown]

We are on board for the Quebec meet already in August, as well as other "non-letterhead" vacations already planned, and well, ... distance, time and budget will most likely keep us from making this one too.

Dang, I have been wanting to meet you Susan.

Looking forward to the frenchy thing though. We just met Pierre at the SandCastle, and he's alotta fun, energetic, and heck, just plain adorable! [Wink]

I'm disappointed to say that the likelihood of us getting to BC this year is slim ... but not TOTALLY out of the question I suppose. hmmmm, it would take some finagling.

I sure hope this one becomes an annual.
I'd definately put it on my calendar for next year.

Good Times Comin'!!!

Great Susan, it's a long ways since we talked about "get together and playing with paint" a few years ago, eh!! GOOD WORK!!!

If anybody is into mountainbiking, and has some extra day(s), there's lots of trails in Nanaimo, all levels, all good. Any other SignRiders out there??

Dang! What a blast this would be!

Wanna come, but the last trip sucked the guts outa the travel funds [Smile]

I spent 6 months in Abbortsford back in the 70's and have heaps friends there that I would love to catch up with on the side.

Wanna meet Donna and family and see what Dan has done.

Make it an annual meet ... think I can save enough cents to make it in 2004 [Smile]

For those who plan on attending this meet, I urge you you make the time to stop at Chemainus on your way to or from Susan's. A few hours spent walking around this quaint little town and gazing upon some 30 or more wall murals throughout will find yourself glad you made the effort! Dan Sawatsky has a few there, and there are many gems in the bunch.

I spent a week on Thetis Island (a 15min ferry from Chemainus) a couple years ago and spent a few afternoons just hanging out and getting a closer look at them. Alot of the time was watching one guy doing a restoration on one of the pieces. It was fascinating how he worked, and I could have just sat myself there all day there learning if I had more time.

Don't miss it!

There is an excellent chance of me being at this one! Yipee! Doubtful we'll make it a family vacation though Rick. You'll just have to follow me home and meet Cody and Elvis for yourself. [Smile]

MUST SEE, you've all got to stop in at Giggle Ridge before or after the meet.

I'm also interested in tagging up with someone to get to the meet with if that works out.

A before the meet get-together here in the Fraser Valley might be a fun event for those passing through on the way to the meet. We could make it a shop warming and mini golf tournament.

If folks are interested in such a gathering it might be a fun idea...

Let me know.
