We were planning our 6 year old's birthday party last week and were writing out invitations when Patrick told us that he didn't want his friends to bring him any presents. He wanted them all to bring food instead to bring to the needy.
The party was Saturday and we must have had over $ 100 worth of food that we delivered to the sharing center here in town.
He got this idea from watching Zoom and received no coaxing from Della or me.
Needless to say, we are very proud of him...

I'll bet he was real proud too, to see the results & to do the donating.
My mom still has a newspaper clipping from when a few friends & I saved funds from yardwork etc. to donate to a local charity.

From a six year old that is really special. You and Della can rest assured that you are doing a fine job raising your children. I remember the uncertainty and at times wondering if I was doing OK.
Stay on the same path. You must have chosen a good one.

THE BOOK says: "You will know a tree by it's fruit," and: "Even a child is known by his doings," I've not heard of this "Zoom", but if you're selective about their viewing, then you get part of the credit. Which reminds me, It also says: A child left to himself brings his mother to shame" and: "A wise son makes a glad father" Thanks for sharing, Jim D.
