contrary to some rumors the report of our demise are greatly exaggerated. Some confusion was caused by the editorial that did not list a successor to the editor, but at press time that issue had not been settled. Happy to report that fellow Letterhead Jeff Lang of Pittsburgh will be taking the editor position....and Doc Welty will still be on board....so go out to the mailbox and wait for your favorite magazine...it's coming. And thanks for your support

That's great news! [Big Grin]
That last issue sure left me wondering.

I was hoping we could get some pics of the panel swap we have going on around here into AMAL. Should I be contacting Jeff about it?

YEAH! I'm still on board as well!
GO JEFF GO!

I LOVE this magazine!! The second I get it, I'm mesmerized until I can go through every page. It's like the 'artwork' of the sign world. Makes me feel like looking at the greatest talented artists... and I can't do stick figures... [Razz]

This past issue shocked the bejeebers outta me though... imagine my shear amazement when lo and behold... there's my old business card design in there!!! On purpose, even!! I was SOO excited about it, and Bruce wasn't home yet... that I even showed the page to the dogs!! SERIOUSLY!!!

Keep up the FABULOUS work!!

Hi Doc!

In the process of writing a report for the Aussie Sign Magazine on my recent trip to Oklahoma with pics of people and panels from Fred's Meet. Thought you might like a copy:)

Send it to you e-mail?

Or where?

Also want a subscription ... picked up a few back copies on the road. Nice stuff ... we don't see your magazine often down under.

PS: We viisted Rick's shop the Wednesday before he died. I have probably the last pic of him alive ... plus some of his last projects and general shots of the workshop under reconstruction ... want them? E-mail me.

This Magazine has got FREEDOM all over it!
It contains everything about Signs, for Sign People, who they are, where they are, and where they will be. But most importantly...WHY.
Why? because 7 sign guys in Denver in 1975 put all egos, and competitiveness aside and shared knowledge that would otherwise have been lost or who knows what could have happened. The lifeline of Letterheads should never stray off it's original roots...which is...TO HELP THE NOVICE. Afterall, we are all novice's. You never stop learning. This site is the fruit of the same tree from 1975.
As a correspondant for this magazine....My advice to the current subscriber's and subscriber's to be is....send in your work, send in unique photo's/stories etc. It's for YOU by YOU. You need to give your input to Jeff thru Email or snail mail

oldelangsigns@msn.com

OldeLangSigns
8280 Ohio River Blvd.
Pittsburgh PA 15202

Remember, Jeff has a business to run, a Proud Husband and father as well. He will do the best he can, but he needs YOUR help!

Send in your Goodies!!!

This has been Mike Meyer reporting live........back to you..............

Hello,
Well, I spent a great weekend at the AMAL office & had a indepth introduction into the magazine. We are in the thick of putting the next issue together.
Terry,
Anyone can send pictures, high resolution digital images, or any item that you think would interest other letterheads to:
A Magazine About Letterheads
P.O. Box 320
Paoli, In. 47454
USA

or to:

Olde Lang Signs
8280 Ohio River Blvd.
Pittsburgh, PA 15202
USA

Let us know as much information about the submissions, artists, shop names, where they're from, etc. We will take good care of your things & will return all items if you let us know.

Mr. Meyer,
Thanks for the accurate report. Now back to work! [Wink]

I'll see if there is a way to get subscription forms to anyone who is interested, if that's okay with Steve & Barb. The cost is $26 a year U.S. residents, $32 a year for foreign residents. Payable to:

A Magazine About Letterheads
P.O. Box 320
Paoli, In. 47454

make sure you include your name, business name, address, city, state, zip & country.
Thanks for the good words of support from everyone!

Jeff

Yes Thnk you Jeff and Doc for continuing this great magazine. I picked up the full set at Mars this year and I havent gotten through em all yet lol.

After Rick Glawsons passing and then the possibility of AMAL going south it was a sad outlook for oldworld inspiration.

Thank you for not letting this great magazine move on to greener pastures.
