I need someone to describe a simple way to take an image (of a sign) and distort it in such a way that I can superimpose the image over a building facade in an angled perspective view. I'm using CD10... the interactive envelope tool will work in some instances with a little manipulation, but it will not seem to work with bitmap images. What am I doing wrong?

Jeff, I'm using CD8 but I'm sure you can find the same tool in 10.
Under the Bitmaps menu, select "3D Effects" then on the fly-out select "Perspective".
That will bring up another window with a box in the lower right corner that has nodes you can click and drag, representing the bitmap image. Then you can click the Preview button to see how it looks.
CD10 might be a little different but unfortunately it doesn't let you see the changes in "real time" so tweaking it might take a few tries.
