We, in southern Ontario, are currently in the middle of a 2 day freezing rain storm. Bummer!!

BUT with the help of the laptop computer, many candles, and CJ Allan's engraved mini mags, I am still online!!!!!!!! [Smile]

After supper (we have a propane stove) I'll be watchin TV on a 2",battery powered, colour TV that I won at a chili cookoff. Kinda small but watchable!!

Technology is wonderful!! I can't imagine reading a book by candlelight. [Smile]

Life is good if yer prepared!! (need a generator!!!!! [Smile] )

Way cool Dave! I am in Michigan on Sat AM on my laptop too, except we have managed to keep power during our ice storm. The laptop is great, except it "blurs the line between home and work" according to a recent article I read in Awake! magazine. It's really true! Can't loose focus of why we became self employed in the first place. Greetings to all!

I too have a laptop, I live in england and work from home and it allows me to go to my customers with designs and make any alterations on the spot and cuts down on travelling, I can use it to run my plotter and on the internet as well a very handy thing really. I must admit that its not as fast as my main pc but it works well enought for me Brian

Here it is, almost 24 hours later and still no electricity. We have the propane stove burning on low and a whole bunch of candles. We are warm, at least. Took the laptop to town this afternoon and recharged the battery. I am good for another 4-5 hrs of "play time"!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edited part.....
I just hit "post" and the electricity came back online!! YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!
