So far, three of you have secured your reservations at Super 8 and Courtyard Marriott!

Today, April 4th, is the deadline for Courtyard Marroitt. They tell me, they can extend the offer a couple of days, if you show an interest. There are 8 rooms still available as of today. There is a golf tournament the same weekend as SANDCASTLE Panel Jam, so their availability is dwindling fast!

Super 8, is running a close second, with only one reservation so far, and 29 rooms available, as of this date. Their deadline for a discount rate is April 10th.(Thursday)

Making reservations using a credit card, will hold your space at either motel.
FYI
Your credit card will not be charged until you have checked out.
If you need to cancel your reservation;
COURTYARD MARRIOTT, requires you cancel your reservation prior to 6pm on your arrival date, or your credit card will be charged a one day room rate of $69.00. 1-800-321-2211 / 239-275-8600
SUPER 8, requires you cancel your reservation 24 hours prior to your arrival date, or your credit card will be charged a one day room rate of $49.95. **Faby, says she will make an exception to the rule, if you cancel the morning of your arrival date. 239-275-3500
Please keep in mind that we are in the height of our tourist season and rooms can be hard to come by. These motels are close to the shop and I-75, with minimal traffic to deal with. They are both relatively new and well kept. These rates will be hard to beat, on a last minute basis.

OK, OK, I booked two nights at the Marriot, the lady at Super Eight didn't have a clue as far as the discount rates went and if she's any indication of what the place is like, I'll gladly pass.

OK OK I got the hint to I called the super 8 and reserved a room in case I decided to not rough it in the suburban. She called it the letterhead group rate if any one has a problem talking to her.

Oh LORD, it figures George would be the first to experience the 'what the heck is a Letterhead' syndrome!
OK, OK! I've phoned the SUPER 8... as a test, I pretended to be one of you ... George, I don't know what you said to them, but they were willing to give me the discount rate, regardless. lol
When I finally divulged, that I was indeed the person who made the original arrangements, for a block of rooms, I told them, they had already lost 2 nights to the sleep box down the street! They had experienced a shift change and Letterheads were lost in the shuffle. Sorry...
Here's some information that may be helpful, when making reservations with SUPER 8;
I established an agreement for a block of 30 rooms, with Faby (pronounced Fab-E). So far, there are two people at Super 8, that will understand you, when you say, you are with Letterheads.
Ask for: Faby - during the day hours Jackie - during afternoon and evening hours
Jackie, assured me that she would leave a note at her shift change, making the next person on duty, aware of the Letterheads group rate.
George, you shouldn't be disappointed with your decision to go with COURTYARD MARRIOTT! It's outwardly appearance, resembles somewhat of a paradise, compared to Super 8. Lush vegetation abound and shiny gold letters on their entrance sign. Ooooh, and that King Size bed to flop around in, you'll be the envy of all the Super8ers...
Keep me posted, as to any other problems you may encounter... We aim to please!

Since I know what you are going through, wondering how many are coming, I'll go ahead and let you know. Reservations are made(Super 8), and I will be mailing my registration the end of this week.
We will be driving over from West Palm on Friday morning.
Oh Yeah, that'll be one(1) large, and one(1) medium on the t-shirts, and one(1) large, and one(1) medium on each meal. It would also be nice to have two(2) large sunburn ointments, as we will be spending the entire week in FL., and I just broke out my short sleeve shirts this past week.(haven't had a pair of shorts on since October)

Hahaha, how could I forget the Hindu Hilton, as it was my room with the bullet holes and blood stains! I think I could talk for an hour, over the what I experienced in that room, for a mere 8 hour stay...
FYI John Smith, is sending me vibes, he may be cookin'up mixed eggs on Saturday and Sunday mornings...

By the way, the Marriott lady didn't know what that rate code was but DID know there was a special rate for Letterheads! HE HE. Everyone is clueless!

I was already at Super 8 before this post, but after seeing the pix I'm glad I reserved at that place....it looks pretty nice to me.
Three weeks !...wow, time sure seems to be flying by. That meet will be here before we know it. I'm bringing my old Sam Kamin book so you all can see it (Electrical Advertizing Sketch Portfolio).
I have a granddaughter who wants to go, but I'm not sure if this would be a hindrance or not. Any other kids coming ?(13-14)

Mariott - Call direct 239-275-8600, ask for Paul Jackson, if he's not there, leave a message and he will return your call, ASAP! He will override the regular price and continue to honor the Letterhead Discount.
