Does anyone have a source for vinyl printed with a diamond-plate pattern? This is a request for a customer. Thanks.

I have a roll I got as a door prize at a meet... I think it was from GBC Signwarehouse. How much do you need?
Just checked GBS's website.. go into vinyl, it's under Holographic vinyl. Good luck

A little word of warning gang....I just sent thirty yards of that product BACK to sign warehouse because of delamination; the clear overlay was separating from the print and adhesive layers. This MIGHT be an isolated occurance, but I didn't want to take any chances on it.....
just my xp

I've used my signwarehouse diamondplate & galvanized alum films & so far no trouble.
This sign is here on my building, so I'll be able to keep an eye on it's durability over the years.
I did discover that if you make a mistake & need to remove these products, the clear comes off easy, but leaves the print on the adhesive & that is a PITA!

Not the same thing at all, but could be useful sometime. There is a texture, somewhere in CorelDraw, that resembles diamond plate.
Can't remember where exactly but did this with it.

You can also buy a CD with high res. rastor images from Bergen Design Posted by Chuck Peterson (Member # 70) on :
I saw a job here in town where someone used some of that liquid doming stuff to simulate the bumps on brushed silver material. It looked real.

Hey Cam, just like them funny bullet holes, I print my own on the edge then some abrassion guard or Frog Sauce and whamo any color you want! It's really cool if ya use transparent foil over metalics. It aint the cheapest way but no worries about some off-brand super funky laminated vinyl that has been stuck at the supply shack deteriorating on a shelf for 15 years. Just tossing in my 2 cents

I got some from signwarehouse a few months back. word of warning tho...I found it to be some really icky stuff to work with and the lamination did flake a little at the edges.

Thanks for the info on the problems everyone has been having. I just used some for a license plate for my husband's truck. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know how it holds up under the abuse.
