Ok so, this possibly being my first 'heads meet...
I have a question or two...
First question.. Yeh uhm... *blush* I'm just a computer jockey... but I would so love to learn the other aspects of this business... even though I'm 24, and been hangin round the shop since I was 7, we've never done anything but ink presses and vinyl... so I've never had a chance to learn to paint or about the different brushes etc... Am I gonna fit in? I don't want to be in the way... Also I would love to take one or two of my employees, but we can only come for the Saturday, and then we all have church stuff to do on Sunday so we have to head back home... is that rude to only come for the one day?
Let me know... If all of this is ok... I'm soooo there.

Christian

Christian, there's alot of puter jockey's that attend the meets....so you won't feel outta place at all. But, hope ya don't mind gettin some paint on ya...cause yer real likely to get a brush put in your hand!

You'll have a blast!

Don't worry about all that vinyl/paint stuff.......it all goes out the door, when you walk in. Everybody belongs at one of these things...

Christian, by all means make it to the meet. You will be amazed at how welcome you will feel and how willing others are to help you. I went to my first meet in Sept. 2001 and have become addicted! I have learned so much that I can't encourage you enough, so you will have to come see for yourself. Don and Cheryl are both gracious people, therefore you will be made to feel at home.

Most everyone does at least some vinyl these days, so you won't be out of place. The only disappointment you'll have is not staying the whole weekend.

The Dixie meets are always a blast, more people oriented than most other meets. You'll also find a good mix if brush/computer folks. The computer folks learnig brush teqniques and the brush jockies picking up computer tips. Believe me five minutes after you arrive, you'll fir right in.

You and your employee will feel very much the center of attention, because you will have so many people willing to help in any way. From the list of people commited, this will be a very good one.

Christian,

As Friday, April 25th nears, your excitment to attend your first Letterhead meet will intensify! You will find yourself thinking of every excuse in the book to get out of whatever it is that you feel is keeping you from attending all three days!

George is right! These Dixie Letterhead meets, draw a fine bunch of folks, wide smiles, lots of laughs, and fellowship... As badly as we treat him, we're all still wondering why that vegi-eatin Joe keeps coming around! Ha, just pullin' yer leg, Joe! (the other leg!...hehe) We love ya! [Wink]

I was in complete awe, at my first Letterhead meet. The first hours were a blur, there was so much going on! People everywhere, talking shop and working on projects. If you're the shy type, no worry, someone will drag you into something sooner or later! Otherwise, you won't waist any time getting right into something that interests you! Why heck, Crazy Joe, our cook, is interesting enough to keep your fascination, if nothing else!

This'll be our first time hostin' a Letterhead meet. Basically, we're gonna give ya a place to come, play around and meet each other! The rest is up to YOU! We've been forwarned by Don Hulsey, but not yet sure we're prepared, for all of the "HEY DON's and HEY CHERYL's"... We're gonna give it our best shot! We hope you all go away with fond memories and a little something extra to keep our craft alive!

Once you get here, you won't want to leave! It seems, there is never enough time to spend at these Letterhead meets! We can also arrange to have yer vehicle dismantled, if need be! [Eek!]

See ya's when ya get here!

Cher.

I'm just sitting on my hands up here at Nettie's. Anything I can do to help get ready? How about a banner? Direction signs?

And how about Wooly Bully? I'm ready to rock.

Hey Steve,

Nice shot of Wooly, eh?

We're working on getting him to show, at our meet. He has recently changed locations, where he plays on the weekends and may not have the evening available for us. BUT, he as indicated that he may make an afternoon appearence! [Smile]

We're also trying to line up, Loco Willie... he has an awesome show, solo! He will not only have ya on yer feet, but he'll have yer mind working on what song he's playin'...

Cher.
