A very usefull program I found a while back is "Crossfont" from Acute Systems Software(link below). Several times when designing signs, I've needed to match a font used by a Mac-based designer on my PC and the Mac fonts either didn't have a PC equivalent or were not immediately available.
With Crossfont, you just drag and drop the Mac font and click convert- and out comes a PC TType or PS font ready for your PC sign or design program. (be sure to follow the simple directions in the help file- it works!)
You will probably also need Stuffit Expander as most Mac users use Stuffit to "zip" their files before emailing. This is another simple drag and drop program.(Actually, often files have seemed to open with more success if the Mac user sends a "Stuffed" file rather than an uncompressed file) When using Expander for unstuffing fonts, make sure you follow the directions in the Crossfont help file to make sure you have the settings right before unstuffing.
In the ever growing controversy of Mac vs PC at our shop, it's good to see that there are some crossover solutions.

I'm a pc user and just purchased an iMac. My son came home this weekend and networked it to my pc. He mentioned Crossfont and said I should get it. Glad you have tried it and know it's great.
Is there a really good software to view the fonts easily on the iMac?
