We are staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Del Amo which is 3 mi. south of the Crenshaw exit off I-405. Address is 2633 W. Sepulveda Blvd. 310-533-8000.

We have booked two hospitality rooms for gathering on Sunday and they will be available to any Letterhead from noon til 10 PM. We expect people to come and go and there is more area outside in the courtyard itself. There is some talk of gowing to THE Chinese buffet on your own...you know the one. Everything will be informal. The shop will not be open or available for many extenuating reasons.

I am staying at the same place and look forward to seeing so many old friends.

In order to gather the thoughts you would like to have expressed on Monday I will be a listening post to your conversations. Please don't think I'm just naturally nosey. Well, maybe I am, but this time I have an excuse.

Trying to sum up Rick's life is a tremendous task. He was so much to so many that I already have enough for about five hours, but before Monday I'll trim it down some....maybe.

Raymond

I do not envy the immense task ahead of you. I will look forward to hearing it. I am also staying there at the Marriott.
I will look for you there.
I will be coming in on Sunday.

Ray, .... it may be a monumental task to sum up Rick's life in a few minutes, or a few hours, but summing up his life isn't the real task. We all knew Rick and loved him as a man and as a friend. Your true mission is to guide us all through our memories. It is about the time together to share what we feel. It is the sharing of so many feelings in his name. It is our appreciation for each other and the missing of one who was so much "one of us, the true Letterhead". Thank you so much for leading our tribute to such a great man.
