Routed on CNC two 9"wx12h"x1.5" handicap parking sign. (Wheelchair logo and and 1.5" "PARKING" text underneath). Priming was a bear between such small letters, couldn't spray it either(primer wont go between such tight letter spaces and inside islands. Had to hand prime/paint between letters. Then spray final background for smooth consistency. Looks like junk...Any hints on working with small routed raised text..to get a nice looking finish?
Thanks All....Go America!

Add a little Wagner Paint Easy if its latex for getting it into tight background places. It relaxes the viscosity of the latex for better flow without thinning the stain. Small spaces are still tough though.
Another possibility, and a way to save the sign is to get Dura Shine epoxy from SignFoam. You mix in some background color (One Shot) and flow it over the background from a plastic bottle with a long tip, very much like a restaurant type ketchup bottle. It will end up very smooth & glossy if that look is OK.

After priming and finish coating, we have used HP vinyl lettering on the raised letters. Heated them down with the heat gun, looked just like paint! Still holding up fine!
