I'm IN! See you there

That's great news Ken! We sure enjoyed this meet last year. Sounds like a detour may be in order on our trip home from the Ft. Meyer's meet.
Here are some photos from last year's Mass Mayhem.
just to let you know, Seekonk,Ma is down by the Rhode Island border, right off rte. 95 I will be posting preregistration info and such soon, stay tuned.... this meet is gonna blow em all out of the water! Mike and Jay just built a brand new facilty and promise to keep things "down to basics" we want everybody to go home with a panel, either one they made or one someone made for them, that means... bring your brushes!!!!!

Count me in!!!!!
I gotta go to this one, OH and they have a racetrack near there, maybe they gots races that weekend there. I think its them NASCAR wannabees!
they race their butts off.

Hey Ken, sounds like a home run......
How far is it from the race track I remember so well when I used to race mod. stock cars myself... Guys like Jeff bodine and his #1 red pinto along with the highly competitive Bouchard's were a major factor then. I Hope Chieslowsky got rid of his Polish calander to make the date this time....In fact I heard from Phil Ghe he's been raving about the latest hot Polish cocktail... Peirre and water...

Oh, yeah!!!! You KNOW I'll be there. Hope Michael Boone's coming back, but with a smoother boulder to paint. Hey Ken......I hear DaggerRat might even make it.
Posted by Dana Bowers (Member # 780) on :
Are girls allowed...
... or did the boys (not to mention names like Boone and Bruce) have TOO much fun unsupervised?!?
Posted by Bruce Bowers (Member # 892) on :
Moi? Too much fun? Nah.... Never happened... Had a terrible time... Yeah, yeah... that's it... Awful time. The weather was too nice. The host was too gracious. There was just too much talent running around that shop. The pizza was too delicious for my tastes. Sheesh, even the entry fee was too cheap... LOL!
I am looking forward to Part Three so I can be just as disappointed as the last one. I am such a glutton for punishment... Hahahahahahaha!

I just checked, the Saturday night races start that Saturday at 6pm. I personally would hope most people would be starting another panel at that time, but the option is there for race fans I guess. Dana, Yes! girls are allowed (I prefer cute single ones) It would be great if you made it this year, just to keep those guys at the meet and out of the strip clubs!
Posted by Harris Kohen (Member # 2139) on :
Honestly Dana, Bruce was crying the whole time about how he wished you were there for inspiration. He was so upset that he made a panel for me to forget to bring home with me. So this year you have to show up to make sure that he makes me a new panel and to make sure I remember to take the darn thing home with me.
We sure did miss you last year!! (and I dont even know you yet)
Posted by Dana Bowers (Member # 780) on :
Just to give you guys a heads-up warning...
I'm in the process of trying to finagle the weekend off of work. I usually work in the infirmary on Saturdays. They need me in there because we also host low cost spay/neuters that day. But that particular weekend, the clinic is cancelled!
So, tomorrow I have to talk a friend into volunteering that day to help cover for me. I'm also gonna see if I can switch regular days off with my co-worker that has Mondays off. No one has that Friday off, so that's ok.
If all goes well there, then the next step is figuring out what to do with the 'boys'. I have a couple people I can ask to watch them.
Bert's really portable, crate trained, quiet, loves to ride in the car and is incredibly cute... if it would be ok with everyone (including the hotel!!) and ESPECIALLY the host, could we bring him with? I have baggies in the car already...

Hey Dana, would be nice if you could come along to hold Bruce's hand but don't worry I checked, there are no strip clubs around the area, so he probably will stay at the meet this year. Which would be nice, I wiould like to meet him and Boone.
Hey Joe, Can you bring some of that special wood that doesnt make wood chips?
Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :
hey Heads! Spring is in the air! Mayhem will soon be breaking out!!!! I got up to date info posted at Future Live Meets Mike has put this together pretty cheap and is working on a few local hotels at very reasonable rates.... stay tuned for more on that

Put me down as a "hopeful."
20+ years and I still haven't been to one of these shindigs...
Posted by KARYN BUSH (Member # 1948) on :
it's looking good...need exact address please!(so i can book a hotel) thanks!!
Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :
Hey Karyn, That is the adress: 102 Pond st. Seekonk, Ma you may want to wait a week so we can get an 'offical' meet hotel... they may put together a block of room and a special rate for letterheads. and Hey on your way... stop in Amesbury pick up Bruce, then over to Salisbury pick up Tommy Howell, then when you get to Peabody stop and get Brian an I.... carpool!!! how big is your car???
Posted by Cam Bortz (Member # 55) on :
Hotels???What are you, getting soft on us, Karyn? Be a real letterhead, sleep in your car! Or better yet, stay up all night painting and telling war stories! Wee do'need no steenking hotels!
Ken, you're wrong about strip clubs. Providence has a bunch of 'em, and that's only ten minutes away. I think some of them even have "amateur night", in case Karyn is thinking about a new career.
Needless to say, I'll be there. At the meet, I mean. Yeah, that's it.
Posted by Peter Manzolillo (Member # 1062) on :
Cam,
Of course, you've just heard about these strip clubs second-hand, I'm sure. A coupla buddies filled you in, right?
Right?
Posted by Kissymatina (Member # 2028) on :
The check is in the mail. Honestly, I put it in the mail box outside the post office this afternoon.
In the words of Galliger, "Why is there a mail box in front of the post office? A mail box is for when you ain't at the post office."
waiting to hear about motels
Posted by KARYN BUSH (Member # 1948) on :
whatta ya think i drive a freakin suburban???lol
i drive a pick up dude...and it's a purple girly truck so not many people will drive with me...oh wait that's because of my driving..nevermind.
i can camp in the back of my truck...throw a 4x8 sheet of wood and pitch a tent...or i can sleep in a nice sperm infested hotel bed...did i say sperm? i meant germ..sorry...either way i bring my own blankets and pillow.
oh cam...me sliding up and down a scank pole??? too funny!!...don't you know i'm french, polish and blonde...that's way too much skill for me...besides i have three nipples...KIDDING! a delicate fleur..i am not...you'll see!
i don't really do bars..don't do well with cigerette smoke...if i'm gonna inhale smoke it's gonna make me all giddy and do cool things to my brain.
anyway..can't wait to meet ya all!!!

Well I'm hooked now... I have to meet these conservative New Englanders.
I don't know if I should get a hotel room or sleep in my van. Of course if gas prices keep going up I'll have to sleep in the van
Does anyone want me to rout some signfoam blanks for the meet? If so send me a design and I'll get to work on it.

Hi folks- I'm thinkin' about coming up too. Karen, a twin mattress fits great in the back of a pick-up. A 4x8 is too hard and may contain splinters. I am no camper, tho, and will look for upcoming hotel info. Mebbe I'll follow Kissy up. Can I bring my pug, Weezer? love- JILL ps just kidding about the dog Mike Zee will help us paak aaa caaaas.
Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :
karyn no need to sleep in your truck. I think the hotels are going to be pretty cheap, and you could always share a room with me... I mean Jill oh and Jill, the proper way to type in yankee is to take the "r" off the end of the word and add "ah" also if it inds in "o" or "e" replace with "a".....so, park the car in Harvard yard~ would be ~pahk tha caah in Hah-vahd yahd but, I wouldnt poke to much fun, cuz chances ah you be da one with the funny accent, unless Steve and Barb show up, eh? you know what im talking abooot, eh? Looks like there might be a few funny talkin New yorkahs there too, Yo!
Posted by Harris Kohen (Member # 2139) on :
Youz people all tawk funny.
I for one know that I DONT have an accent. But most of you do. I personally enjoy hearing new accents, so I will have fun.
Is it May yet? I am tired of being cold, theyre talking snow again tomorrow, SHEESH!
See ya in 7 weeks.

Not to worry; I hear from the grapevine that Joe Chiselowski has made several matresses from his "Chips", that's cool Joe just don't use those black wallnut chips. The N.Y. Tymes said there is going to be three kinds of "Chowdah" available, Manhatten for those from the Bronx,(Howie with his "Bell bottom Tee shirt"),Rhode Island, for Cam who sticks the arc welder electrode into the cup to heat it up, and New England in case one of those Indians from Ledyard shows up... and for Karen Bush, the "sperm whales" are expected to be sighted off the coast under the full moon...

Hey Bob, Your not gonna chicken out on us again r u???? i should note that Sunday the 11th is Mothers day so..... bring your Mother! or at least make her a panel!!! and for all you mothers out there... dang! I'll make ya a panel if ya come!
Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :
uh-oh.... scared all you momma's boys away??? come on, make your mom an ice panel for Moms Day, she will love it.
Posted by Joe Rees (Member # 211) on :
Hey Ken, I was BORN on Mother's Day. I don't need to make her a panel because she already has the best gift a mom could have, ME! (at least that's what she says, other people tell me I have one of those faces only a...how does that go?).
I'm not working on a panel, but have dusted off the acoustic, and polishing up a short set of songs to irritate you with. A couple new things since last time, and I'mm be sure to bring Songpainter CDs this time if anybody wants to make a purchase. It will be cool if Steve & Barb are there, they could accept the payment in person.
Posted by Bob Rochon (Member # 30) on :
hey Ken I checked whith my mom and she said I can go lol
Posted by AdrienneMorgan (Member # 1046) on :
I'm still trying to manipulate my way out there this year.....hmmmm...maybe I can hitch a ride with my buddie Ernie....
heck, we've clocked over a thousand miles together already, year before last, sure he won't mind a few hundred more! Ernie, isn't it time I retouch that dolphin on your wall?
There are some wonderful and very inexpensive youth hostels as i recall from last year when I made plans to go....and if you are a member it's like 15 bucks a night.
If that doesn't work out I'll be willing to split a room with any of the girls who don't smoke...
A:)

Adrienne,
Are you sure that you are ready for another adventure? You might wind up 1000 miles from where you intended to go.
Last time you were going to NJ and wound up in NS!!
