Hello All! On Jan. 19 I fractured my pelvis/mountainbike crash w/ tree. 10 days in hosp. with "all shook up" innards. Home with crutches.
I had bid on a big handlettered job, and was hoping I wouldn't get it...2 wks after crash, I got job.... I called my longtime signpainter friend, Al Graw, up in Lytton, got the patterns and paints togehther, and yesterday we started on it. It's a four day job, we repeat the whole exercise again in March and April.
They are large metal containers that go the North Sea on an oil rig. It's always fun to work with Al, we tell the same old stories, been friends since 1970.
I use a cane, and am even "walking freehand" at times! Docs had said "6 tp 12 weeks", well, It's def. on the sooner side. I think that being pretty fit from lots of riding helped in speedy recovery.....BUT, it was riding that got me into this Fine Mess"!!
Ya know,a fractured pelvis isn't all it's cracked up to be!

Good to hear your back on top of the graphics again, I was broke down a couple of times myself. I hate being down and watching things happening and can only watch. Take your time your time, smell the redroses of the 1-Shot.
