"Life's a beach, Dang Northerners don't know how to think warm"
Often heard at the meet--- "Nice view, too bad that mountain blocks it" and other variations.
Joe had us carving pinstripes from Tramps' cd I think he secretly wants to be a striper!
I learned a lot and got my double my fee back in food and materials. Now, If I could just win the first cut pool.....

Looks like a fun meet, wish I could have made it! Also looks like Felix adapted well to the local weather. How long did it take him to get back inside after the photo?

I think Felix wins the "Polar Bear" award. Glad to hear you all had a good time. Congratulations Joe on putting on the meet.

Wow! Not sure where to even begin.
Thanks Joe C. and everyone for sharing their knowledge, life experiences and just being genuinely considerate peoples.
Hope we didn't keep you up tooo late Joe. hehehe
A very special thanks to Mrs. C. and Phil Ghi who went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome!
Can't forget the pre-Revolutionary history lesson either...priceless. It was like a time warp.
Yes, it's true! Making Pine chips and having fun!
Chris - it was as cold as it looks.

Kathy and I made it back to Ontario late last night. Went to see the Norman Rockwell Museum after we left your place Joe.
Thanks a lot for all the hospitality and advice. This idea of chiseling is brand new to us. Joe taught me to always "cut corners" and how to chisel the client! We are going to give our very first chiseled signs a place of honour in our shop. Right after we get them painted.
We took another picture of the group right after the one Joe posted. It didn't turn out well because Felix was shaking to much!

Hey Talisman...Amen Brother! hahah
Ernie, you hit it on the head when you says Joe C. is secretly a striper. One of them thar' closet stripers! Should be, with them fine lines.

WOW!!!!! I just woke up....
What a wonderful group of people!
They came in a snow storm and warmed my heart and home......
Sometimes you wonder if it's worth the effort....and 3 days later, you have your answer.
Special thanks to Sign Foam and 1 SHOT for your generous donation of materials as well as Design Board, Everwood and Precesion Board for donations for my workshops past. They quantity of materials allow everyone to be loose and not afraid to mess up! It was interesting to feel how difrently each reacted to the diffrent tools and techniques.
I can't wait to see the rest of Joe's pics....I'm sure they will tell a better story than I can.
For those of you who think you don't have a space big enough for a meet....try hosting just a small one.....IN THE DEAD OF WINTER! The numbers will be just right.....
Thanks again everybody for everything you brought to the Chisel Jam!
Joe, Makin Chips and Havin Fun!
