Can someone let me know how to get some cut out letters, (material is open for discussion), about 2' in height, and a metallic finish, and......a letter "sort of like" Gaelic type. I was thinking of putting them on a track of some sort. The client wants them to be floating and we're going to light it from the front. Any ideas, thank you very much.

The first thing that pops into my head is a company called "Gemini" prolly real easy to find with a google search.
Then of course you could make them from foam with a hotwire, gatorfoam on a flatbed router table, wood, duraply, nudo board, etc... with a router or even a jigsaw.
Indoors or out ?
More specifics about the application ?

In addition to my post above....
After making the letters, maybe overlay them with a metallic film.
Paint the edges flat black.
I did this for lettering in a grocery store, looked great on a blue background with track lighting pointing right at it.
Was routed gatorfoam, times roman bold. Said BEER & WINE in all caps. The overlay was brushed silver. 3M Double sticky taped right to the wall.
OH..use latex on the foam edges so it don't melt.
Thats what comes to mind, hope it helps ya.

You're in Chicago... I'm in Elgin. I have a 4'x8' router table. E-mail me what you need and I'll let ya know what I can do for ya.
I have a font that's made from Celtic influences if that's close to what you were thinking.
Or if you have a specific font in mind, I may have it.
