I'm installing 24"x 96" sections of vinyl on 40 gas station canopies (no hors d'oeuvres jokes allowed). Until the weather breaks (Upstate NY) is there anything that will make laying the vinyl a little easier? Right now I'm doing it dry, but I'm open to suggestions.

Terry no suggestions...thats a tuffie.....why did you take on the job this time of year? Since Im only about an hour away from ya.........and feel the same temps I wonder how you are making the vinyl stick????? you got a lift? We'll have to have lunch someday Belhurst Castle .......you buy! there was a guy here a few weeks ago...he was installin new corners on a canopy.. I thought that was a bad job...... Good luck man........

Hi Michael, the guy you saw was probably my helper Darrel. He was doing the job for a contractor who was laying the vinyl. When it comes to wood or sheet metal, Darrel's the best. The other guy tried to pull a fast one and wasn't paying Darrel, so he quit. Apparently the contractor guy was screwing the company to, because he lost the contract. When the company called Darrel to return the scaffolding, they asked if he wanted to complete the contract, that's where I came in. Darrel's the best at what he does, but he needed someone to coordinate the details for the 40 plus sites remaining on the contract. They're mostly one day installs at $1000. a pop so....I get cold. I've been using a heat gun on the canopies, but there's got to be a better way.
