They say it only takes two to hold a meet, they are right! I had a mini meet today with another Letterville Resident, Terry Whynott.

Terry arrived shortly after 10 this morning after driving 50 minutes to get to my house. He brought his kit and a project that he was working on.

It just seemed as we got settled down to work it was time for terry to leave

Thanks Terry for your company and your generosity.

We are going to try to get together regulary and continue to keep this letterhead spirit alive. I s there anybody else locally intersted in having a mini meet?

Rob

Thanks Rob, made it home safe and sound.

It's pretty great having someone to get together with that loves the business as much as I do! (I think the wives are happy about that too)

We worked on our panels for the Panel Swap. We didn't get a whole lot done but had fun doing it!

It seems like the Letterhead Spirit has diminished a little around here over the years. Rob and I would love to see it brought back. There's lots of Letterheads in the area...Let's raise the spirit again!

Bob Darnell? Dave Grundy? The Shortreeds? Randy Campbell? Doug Downey? Bruce and Dana could come up with Michael Boone and bring Mark Matyjakowski with you!

Rob mentioned that the town he lives in is restoring their old mill. Original pictures of the mill show a wall sign. I can see a mini-meet revolving around something like that. [Smile]

We'll organize it...who else wants to join our two man mini-meet?

Just adding the finishing touches to my panel.
It'll be in the mail by friday.
I have ever only been to one 'meet',the walldogs in Cornwall, but I had a great time and would love to attend more. Problem is that they are mostly in the states and involve travel and expense and usually at the time of year when it's almost impossible to drag myself away from paying customers.
Anyone in the Ottawa or Toronto area want to hold a mini meet.I lived in Burlington/ Oakville area for 7 years and still have family/friends there who'd let me stay, and that's not too far to travel, maybe get away for the weekend.
We (my employees and I) are thinking about the meet coming up in Quebec for this summer.I'd love to have a meet here...is anyone into whitewater?
Renfrew in about 45 minutes away (north) of Ottawa.
Good fishing, golf,Pembroke is a few more minutes down the road, well known for the various wall murals that decorate it's downtown.Renfrew itself is small(pop.7500-8000) and originally began as a lumber town. Not so far away, 20 minutes or so, we have the Bonnechere caves, and for those with children, there is Storyland,5 minutes from here, a small themepark based on Mother Goose stories, with a waterslide, miniputt etc.
Keep me posted!
