Letterville is seeking new Residents! During the Month of December, we're offering a special incentive to intice more Visitors to move to Letterville. This is just too darn good to pass up. Here's the deal.

All current paid-up Residents, and new Residents that join before December 31, 2002, are going to receive a copy of Tramp Warner's new CD. Yes! You read that right. Thanks to the generosity of GBC SignWarehouse , we're able to ship you Tramp's CD, a $99.00 US value, absolutely free! Here's just a few samples from this outstanding CD.

 -

That's not all! As a Letterville Resident, you'll get additional benefits. These include...

Monthly Draws....At the end of every month, we draw for some great "door prizes" supplied by Letterville Merchants. Residents are eligable for all 12 monthly draws.

The Letterville Vault...Residents are given the key to The Letterville Vault. Inside, you'll find exclusive Fontry fonts, plus various clipart and pin striping designs. Over the next few months, we'll be adding another 250 clipart samples from the most popular CD clipart collections GBC SignWarehouse carries.

Your Photo On The BB....We believe that those of you, who choose to help us pay the bills, deserve some special recognition. Become a Letterville Resident, and we'll add your photo to all your BB posts.

The value of this package far exceeds your annual $50 US Resident's Tax. It's also tax deductable! How can you go wrong? Here's what you need to do next.

Pick-up your phone and give Barb a call at 519-787-2673. You can pay your Letterville Tax with Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Those that prefer paying by cheque are invited to visit our Resident's Page at http://www.letterhead.com/residents/index.html

You'll find additional information there, along with a form you can print out, and either fax or mail to us. You'll want to bookmark this page in order to access the Letterville Vault once we have you settled in Letterville.

Please note that this special offer is only valid to Dec. 31, 2002.

That is TOO COOL!!!!
I consider myself Lucky to have met Tramp at the meet in Bloomington 1998 and have talked to him several times on the phone. I bought his book there and even have it signed. It is one book that will always be in my collection, and a person who I am glad to think of as a friend.

Thanks to Signwarehouse also for this and their continued support of Letterville.

Thanks to Steve and Barb as well, they could have very easy just made this for people joining this month, but instead, they included all paid residents.

I would say this "give-away" alone is worth the price of your taxes, let alone all the other perks you get including this forum!!!!

Thanks Again to All involved!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been meaning to jump on board for awhile now. $50.00 is a bargain for the kind of info that I gather from the group on this board.

And the free CD is such a generous offer!

I printed the form and am faxing it through with my payment info this morning.

Looking forward to joining such an elite group of folks!!!!

Thanks!

thank all concerned for this generousity as there is going to be some postage involved getting it out to all of us NON US residents but it sure pays to be a letterhead resident!!!! [Cool]

Posted by Don Hulsey (Member # 128) on :

I can't wait!!! If it comes in before Christmas, can I go ahead and open it? Can I huh, can I?

BTW... The info on this board is worth more than $50... The friendships on this board are worth way more than $50... Hell, I just checked with the bank, and I am almost worth $50 by myself.

I guess what I am trying to say is, this CD, and the other "resident perks" are just additional tasty icing on an already delicious cake.

Thanks Steve and Barb, and Signwarehouse.

I have two choices to think about. It's my 28 wedding aniversary on the 21st.Dec.or send my taxes in to become a Resident. This is a no brainer if I want to stay married.Next time!

Posted by Don Coplen (Member # 127) on :

None of my biz, but if ya don't mind takin a bit of advice from a divorced man, spendin $50 on your anniversary will leave you in pretty much the same boat as sendin it to Letterville. [Razz]

(Don't ask me how I know...don't wanna talk about it!) [Roll Eyes]

Posted by David Wright (Member # 111) on :

It comes down to an "either-or situation" where to spend $50? Must be rough to live like that.

Posted by Terry Whynott (Member # 1622) on :

That's funny Don!

Randy, all you gotta do is suggest that she spend the $50.00 for your anniversary gift on your taxes! You get the perks of Letterville, including the new CD and you can spend your $50.00 on whatever would make her happy. [Smile]

Done.

See you next week!

Hey everyone,

We forgot to thank the guy that made it all possible.

THANX Tramp!!!

Without his talent there would be no need for the offering from Sign Warehouse.
We would also have one less reason to thank Steve and Barb, though I always thank them for connecting me with so many unique people.

I am hoping that Tramp had put some of those wonderful stars (like the ones in Milwaukee) on this CD just for us to enjoy.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Just a bump up...December 31st is right around the corner.

I'd originally written several paragraphs of why it's important to pitch in. On second thought, it's only $50, and I doubt that anybody in business without $50 to spare on something that helps them make more money, cares to hear it. [Roll Eyes]

Suffice it to say, it would be a shame to type in www.letterhead.com one day and get a 404 error message.

Wow, My taxes are due this month. How lucky am I to get in on this free CD. If you end up running out of CDs with all the new residents signing up, you can skip me. (although I would really like the CD). I feel guilty for all I get now from this website for only $50 a year.

I can rob my change jar to have more than enough money to pay my dues once a year.

Thanks for all your hard work Steve and Barb. The check IS in the mail.

Hey Brian how's it going? Thanks for the kind words. When you stopped in we found out that we had way to much in common did'nt we... it got a little weird, like our back ground and interests, brian is considering building a Log House at the time, when he mentioned this I could'nt believe it, because I built 7 of them over the last 20 years, and I live in one as well, for the past 17 years.
Brian you said that were considering having a meet at you're place, so is that still in the cards? It was nice of you to drop in that day, I know that you had your hand full with family at the time.... Yes I did make it home through the storm, my new Ford 4x4 made certain of that.

YES...NEIL Still thinking of having a LETTERHEAD PINHEAD MEET AT THE RANCH I've been asking around few sign shops and suppliers and a'm getting really great responce , Our place has its own WESTERN TOWN, nested one km in the woods with everything to make a successful event , heck i've got wagons, cookhouses, bunkhouses ,[ sleeps hundred or so !!!] saloon, general store, walkin trails...200 acres, campin' area with showers, horses , NEED I GO ON.. Just last fall we built a cement slab to fit a tent 35x85, Moncton is located in New Brunswick, half hour from Nova Scotia , Prince Edward Island , But lot further to Newfoundland eh ..Neil!! yap.. And just so happens one of my friends has a lobster shop that would give me good prices, So thats a start, yeah been thinkin' about it, its in the makins.. but not official just yet ,need more info on how to host such an event and when. But besides that a'm still going ahead on building me a log home Neil why just yesterday we went back in the woods to start cutting the pine trees for the log home there big trees when they fall the grounds going to rumble, and yes Neil everything is fine with us ,and its weird that we have the same interest, and talking about TRAMP maybe he knows what ever happened to JOHN BARRON And if anybody in Washington State knows the where abouts good long time freind and great signwritter, pinstripper... VERN CAVENEY please contact me ,I've lost him!!! NEIL nice talkin ta ya.

Just 16 more days to take advantage of this offer! Tramp's CD has 224 files in all. 112 in EPS format, 112 in AI format.

It's really encouraging to see some new faces here in Letterville. Welcome to town!

Posted by Don Coplen (Member # 127) on :

Bump up!

Browsing through recent posts, dozens of money making tips every day...and taxes/dues that are less than the cost of 12 issues of SignCraft.

Just a rhetorical question: If a SignCraft subscription fee was optional, would you pitch in for the printing, editing, paper, etc. to keep it going...or assume the McIltrots would figure out a way to keep the magazine alive without your help?

Steve and Barb have some great ideas to make this site even better for ALL of us, and it's going to take funds to see those dreams come true. Anybody not see the "Letterville Drive In" that's in the works? Gonna take alot of bandwidth ("bandwidth"=$$$) to make that happen, but going to be too cool!

Somebody's footin' the bills to keep this site up, and if it ain't you...it's somebody else.

Think on it...it really is that simple.

You just can't lose! If you haven't tried it, just jump in! There is something for everyone, maybe the price of a dinner out, or dancing, but you can dance here! And, come on, if you use this board even once or twice out of 365 days, you may save your business too, by avoiding mistakes or finding knowledge, or even getting some humor-all are in abundance here, right?.
We can't deny that Steve and Barb work their butts off and now they're giving gifts too?! They don't just sit on their high horse and give us lip service, they are with us side by side, and always keep their cool.
My acquaintences that are not even in the lettering biz are also amazed at just some of what I tell them about the capabilities here and the resources of many bright minds, hard-working folks giving a lot of their knowledge which in the past were "trade secrets"! It used to be that a lot of the sign shops wouldn't hire unless you were family (for a few reasons), but, in letterville, you are always family. For all creative minds that need stimulation, it is here, in any way, shape, form that you need or want, and going way beyond any expectations of any site of it's kind and most others. Thanks a bunch, Steve and Barb. [Smile]

Appreciate all the nice comments about Letterville. Let's be honest. The real success of any Letterhead Meet are those that attend and share their knowledge and experience. It's really no different here. All we do is provide a venue for you to gather and work your magic.

The knowledge is free to all, but there are costs involved in maintaining Letterville. It's a 365 day 24/7 meet that is constantly growing, demanding a greater investment in time and money.

There's still 15 days left in this Resident Drive. Move to Letterville as a Resident and we'll ship you Tramp's new CD just to say Thanks. You'll love the CD, the Monthly Draws and other Resident Perks, but you'll also be ensuring Letterville grows.

Here's an idea! Beg, borrow or steal the $50 and send it in. When you get your new Tramp CD in the mail, you can sell it or auction it off. It retails for $99 dollars, so you should be able to get $80 for it. Now you have your original $50 back, plus a profit of $30.

But wait. There's more! Just think. You've paid your Letterville taxes for the year and made $30 to boot. You've also got 12 chances to win some cool stuff in the Letterville Monthly Draws plus all the free goodies in the Letterville Vault. It's just too good to be true.

You still have 14 days to get in on this offer. Some have expressed concern that their checks may not arrive in time. No problem. As long as your mail is postmarked before Dec. 31, you'll qualify for the free CD.

I'm either confused or not paying attention. [Roll Eyes]

This site was created and is maintained for our use only. Let's face it, there aren't too many people who DON'T do what we do that would have any interest whatsoever in a website devoted to custom signmakin, pinstriping, faux finishes, mural rendering, carving and particularly... the Letterhead spirit.Though there are several sign related sites on the internet, there's only one that I know of that goes at it from this slant and to this extent.

*One of the most active non-porn forums on the net. [Wink]
*Updates of upcoming live meets and pics of meets that we went to or missed.
*Oftentimes live streamed video from meets as they happen.
*Step by steps...which sometime this year(if the money/bandwidth is available)will be in video format.

All this is specifially for US, the people who come here regularly and use this information to help put groceries in OUR refrigerators!

Now, here's the part that confuses me...it's hard to believe that there can be that many people running a sign business (or ANY business), that don't have $50 in petty cash. To compound that...it's even harder to believe that there are that many people in this business (or ANY business) that can have a problem shelling out a tax deductible $50 a few days before December 31st...for something that they use most everyday, and ANY day they need specific, personalized information to help run their livelihood.

Perhaps I'm missing something here...

Like I said, I'm confused. [Roll Eyes]

I only had a chance to get 50 labels typed before the holidays.

I have finished typing the rest of the labels
and they will be going out within the week.

Anybody that isn't on the list and would like to be, still has 2 days before the deadline!

If the tax collectors stateside would give a little bonus once in awhile, it might surprise them who might file.... [Razz]

Steve and Barb keep up the good work. Looking forward to a great year here.

Thanks

Thank you Steve & Barb, GBC, & Tramp!!

One day left! How can you pass up this deal. Every other CD I have purchased has paid for itself within a job or 2. Think about it. If there is anything on that CD that you can use on a current job, it will probably save you an hours labor! Cha ching... paid for.

Put it on a credit card if you have to. You'll make the money back before the credit card bill is due.

Last day gang!

I got my CD yesterday and will certainly put it to good use.
