I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I've missed being here. [Smile]

Thank you for your phone calls and e-mails.

Just to let you know what's going on, we're still rebuilding our shop while still trying to get work out. The flood insurance is only covering about 60% of our loss (roughly $200k) and we are going to have to find the rest ourselves. This has forced us to reconsider our future.

We are doing much of the repair work ourselves as time permits. We are building the cabinets & counters, doing the painting and doing some of the reconstruction on our own. We plan to be moved back in hopefully within the next week or two. We don't expect to be back to 100% until January when the last of the new replacement equipment arrives.

Here's a link to some photos of what is going on.... http://home.nc.rr.com/walldog

I hope to update it tomorrow.

Again, thanks for all of your prayers and encouragement. It means a lot to me.

Welcome home Glenn. All of us have been thru some tough times. I want you to know that Tough times don't last, but tough people do. We've spent some personal time with you, Wanda and your Mom. You're special people and better days are ahead.

How's the weather in Wilson this time of year? I could always come down there and lend a hand. Wait! My bill at the local Golden Corel might put us all in the poorhouse. [Smile]

Sorry for your troubles...

But I know your strong enough to kick back at the Can.

Keep with it Glen!

wow...and to think i was having a little pity party for myself because 50 mph winds today ripped my brass moose weather vane off the top of the house...then a tree fell on the powerline from the pole to the house and it ripped the all the power lines/cable/phone off the house..taking the vinyl siding with it...all 35ft up.
but my god...your situation is heart breaking! gosh i don't know what to say except..i feel so sorry that you and all the folks down there lost so much. i hope you win the lottery so there can be a silver lining. hang in there!

Good to hear from you Glenn. Glad to have got to meet you in person at the BIG Show and I am also glad to see that you are rebuilding. I really would have hated to see you get out of the sign business, this industry needs good guys like you out there. Have a good one. [Cool]

Glenn!

Glad to see you back, very proud of you gettin back here! Coffee on the burner, always hot. Anytime you want to talk. Give my best to your Mom and family... take good care of yourself, there is only one of you, remember.
things can be replaced, you can't. I am starting all over again too, since I just moved. I still can't find where to get a darn piece of aluminum and get lost around town, but I'm determined too.

Hehehe....actually, you aren't too far with the moat idea.

We've been raising a ruckus with the city and not getting anywhere until WRAL-TV got involved. The city came out a few weeks ago and dredged the creek (really a large ditch) which they had told us a few days before that it was illegal for them to do. They had been claiming that the EPA and the state wasn't allowing them to do it. If you'll pardon my french, they did a half-assed job. After a few phone calls, they came back last week and did a much more thorough job. I lost count of how many truckloads of dirt they hauled out.

Hey, glad to see you around again!

Glenn, how deep does the water get? Looks like you have alot of wall space for storage.

I was also going to mention about the 2nd story shop. I have one and I'm also in a flood plain area. There are definately pros and cons to working 'upstairs', but seeing that you've been hit twice in a short amount of time, may be worth the effort of stairs stairs everywhere.

Not that you can work while your downstairs is completely under water, but at least when the water recedes, you're still in biz.

We have had 2 flood threats here in the last 4 years. Scarey when it happens, but knowing how deep it got here in 1948, I know at least my shop is fairly safe.

Hi Glenn-
I really really missed you being on the board. I'm so glad you surfaced, even though you are covered in mud, so to speak, and you are finding out, that your name would never be Mudd around here.

Everybody it seems just periodically got to missing you again, I had lots of inquiries about you, in short, without your face popping up it just has not been the same in Letterville.

So for whatever amount of time you can give us I'm grateful. And I feel certain I speak for many that if we can do something to make your situation easier, ask.
