Hey guys. What do you use for this? I thought of tie wraps but those wouldn't last a bit.

Hey Felix.....I am doing a buncha parking signs that will go on a cyclone fence too. I pre drill all the holes, and provide them with the plastic tie-downs...but sure would like to have a better way.

I used to use hog rings. They're C shaped rings which you clinch with a special pair of pliers. They are used to install chain link fence. Drill holes in the sign and clinch a hog ring over the wire of the fence. They're pretty inexpensive and handy for lots of things.

Pat, that is a great idea. I have used quick clamp links, but your method will hold tight without any movement. Thanks, I didn't ask the ? but WILL remember this.

Cyclone fence are you talking chainlink fence? I think I would just use wire just like what is used to hold up the chainlink fence around the top bar and the bottom wire. It just needs to be twisted neatly and tight.

Do you mean that Duct Tape won't work????

I use the same method as Pat. I use 1/8x1 aluminum flatbar, drilled to match the sign, and fastened with aluminum or stainless bolts. The sign will come apart before the fasteners let go.

I found a unique solution in the automotive section of our giant hardware/automotive/sporting goods/homeware chain store called Canadian Tire. They are called U-clips and shaped like a U with a bolt threads tapped in each leg of the U.

We drill holes close to each corner of the sign then attach two of these clips to the chain links near where we want top of the sign. Put bolts through the sign then thru both legs of the U. Do not try to make the legs straddle the sign. Because of the threads on the U- clip there is no need to get a nut on the back side. Put 2 more U-clips on the fence where they will be in line with the holes on the bottom of the sign. Then put bolts thru the sign and both legs of the lower U-clips.

A couple of advantages to this little system. The signs can be installed from one side of the fence. No need to go around to the other side to put nuts on. Also it makes the sign vandal proof from the back side. There is no way that kids can take the bolts out from the back side.

I trust you can follow this and find these things in a automotive supply house locally.
