This has happened all of a sudden after working flawlessly...
Turn the unit on; Raise media load lever; Load vinyl; Lower media lever; Go to control panel: select "roll" ..........
At this point the carriage scans across media as it normally does but then begins to feed the vinyl through as if it is measuring the length or something. This happens upon selecting "roll" or "piece" from the control panel. Only way to stop the feed is to power off.
So at this point I obviously can not set an origin point, etc. so I'm dead in the water.
HELP!!!!!!
Thanks,
Stan

I'm not sure what the difference between the 1100 and my 1000 but unless you are changing from vinyl to sandblast mask, there isn't any reason to change the presure.I hope we are talking about the same thing. When I go to cut/plot I am able to click on "show me" and the machine will run the size and if it is going the axes you want- push cut.I set my cutter so it will cut From 2ml.-3.5 ml.without changing presure. Hope I helped.

Hi Stan,
I know that the piece setting will measure the "piece", but the roll should just measure the width, so I don't know if the setting for roll is messed up and thinks it's on piece! Might have to call Roland on this one sounds like. Hope it's not a big problem to fix. Maybe reinstalling the drivers might fix it too.
See ya

Could be the 'buffer' in the plotter holding unused info. Try unplugging everything, then re-connecting.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I'd have to say ..... kudos to Bob, you da man!
I guess that was the most obvious thing to do but when you're in a jam you do not always think "straight".
