I use photo island, but the pictures I post keep dropping off. I posted one in the portfolio page and it won't stay. All the others do, so who do you use?
Thanks,

Chuck, Many, if not most of the Internet Service Providers (ISP,s) , (and maybe the one you have) allows you up to 10 meg of webspace in a subfolder in their domain. This is a FREE service with many providers ans is intended for space for you to create a personal home page. You might consider this when choosing and ISP, which would allow you full time use without all the crappy popups and lacky service out there.

I'm going to try to post a bit of a step-by-step on uploading to your own ISP's webspace.(If it's part of your service) Like Jack said, most internet services include 10mb of webspace for your own use, when you use their services.
I'll try to do this tonite. Stay tuned. Posted by Chuck Gallagher (Member # 69) on :
Thanks guys!
I didn't think about the web page. I'll try that too. I just don't know why they fall off the internet after you get them posted.

I use Imagestation.com. They give you a lot of free space (30 meg's I think). After I upload the pic's:
Right click on the photo Select properties Highlight the address (http********) Right click, copy Come back to this site Click on the Image button below Right click in the open space, paste. (preview your post to make sure it works) VOILA !
This sounds like an involved process, but it goes quickly, and works well. G'luck Bob K.

My ISP provides no free space for web pages. I'm looking for one of thos free sites that lets you post photos on the BB and also permits the use of FTP for uploading batches of photos.

I get web space from my access provider - more than I could ever use. I do things the old fashioned way when it comes to loading photos to my space though. I ftp log into my space using Netscape and "drag and drop" my images through my browser. When it comes to linking to this site, I change the ftp part of the address to http and go from there, or I can view the directory and do similar to Bob K., copy and paste the image location.
Havin' fun,
Checkers

I just moved my website host to ipowerweb.. i just found them from a search for web hosting. I pay like $6 or $7 a month for 100mg of space for my site and what ever else. My www name is a few years old and was not a problem getting moved to ipowerweb.
my.Yahoo also has a portfolio section that may work for low end image hosting.
Rick,
Your personal website link is not working and is sending me to some spam company (err... dont think that is your site anyhow... =) if it is... ignore this... hehe)
