The old laptop I purchased came with Windows 95 installed. I bought the Windows 98se upgrade so I could use the USB ports with my printers.
Anyway, after I did the upgrade, everything seemed to work fine...except my A: drive.
When I try to access a floppy disk in the A: drive, I get the message "The disk in drive A is not formatted". "Do you want to format it now?". I backed up the data on the disk and tried clicking "yes" to the above question, but it came back saying that the disk could not be formatted?
This disk works on all of my other computers (one with 98, one with ME, and one with NT). And it worked on my laptop when 95 was installed. I did try other floppy disks, also, so I could rule that out.
Anyone ever have this problem?

Randy...I never had that problem on my main computer, but I remember having that exact same problem on my previous laptop which had Win98SE and then had Win2000 installed and then reverted back to Win98SE. When new it was fine but after reverting back from Win2000 I got that message once in a while. I found that the floppy was just fine anywhere else but once that message came up on the laptop I had to use another floppy if I wanted to read it from the laptop. Finally gave up and just used the network to access floppies on the laptop.

Terry, can you post the fixes you know about? I have 95 on my desktop, Win XP on the notebook. I must've thrown away a dozen floppies thinking they were too old and no good.
