I just had to tell this story. A couple of months ago, my sister's hubby walked into a convenience store in a small town where he was working. He decided to check his lottery ticket, and the woman at the counter fumbled with it for quite some time, then got really excited and said to him "What if I told you that you've won a lot of money". Darryl's heart started pumping, and she told him he had won $9,340.00. He was pretty tickled, phoned us all to share the good news.
They planned on taking the kids on a holiday, and maybe putting in some hard-wood floors. This week Darryl finally drove into Regina to pick up his check (a 3 hour drive). They wanted to take his picture and wondered what on earth he had been doing for two months. He had driven around with the ticket in his pocket, had left it on his dresser, had it in the glove compartment; never once realizing that the ticket actually said $93,040.00. He was too embarassed to tell them he didn't know the real amount!!
I would have been jumping around screaming like an idiot!

Where are they taking the kids while they are building the new house to put the hardwood floors in? Thanks for sharing as good news is always welcome.

I could help him "re-invest", if he cares to meet me in Reno.

That's great! I keep hoping I'll be that dumb and lucky. Of course that would mean I would have to buy tickets first!
Lucky guy!

Mrs. Lenny found a ticket in the parking lot that had been scratched off and discarded that got her $5,000. She wouldn't let Lenny have any of it and he was fit to be tied. ha ha. Then he probably wasted twice that much buying more tickets trying to beat her...some people can never be satisfied. I could be...when will it be my turn?
