What is the right way to wash a window with multi-color/layer vinyl on it. My client asked if Windex was OK. I told him to wait a week and that a squeegee was NOT OK. Any tips?
Thanks

wayne, many varibles apply here.....is it a new window? has it been cleaned regularly? or not! does it have road flim exposure? this is the easist way to go at it: 1.start with RAPID PREP, if it cleans it so you knuckles sort of grab the glass when you drag them across the glass, its clean. 2. if 1 dont do it, then get some LAQURE THINNER and then repeat step 1. 3. the way to really clean a window is with BON AMI or any abrasive cleanser, then repeat step 1.

Thanks for the info Joe. I'll print that out for next time cuz windows are always a pain for me. I used alcohol and then rapid prep before lettering on this job.
The graphics are on the window now and the customer wants to know what to wash with. I told him to wait a week and to definitely not use his window squeegee on it. I just want to know what cleaners are OK for washing the window which already has vinyl on it.
