Hiya 'Heads,
I was wondering, who you purchase your inkjet supplies from? I'm not real pleased with my regular distributor lately and I'm considering a switch.
My current printing equipment consists of 2 Encad printers, a Novajet Pro 36" and a Novajet Pro 700 - 60", and a GBC 63" laminator.
Over 90% of our work is interior and we rarely use outdoor inks.

Thanks in advance,

Checkers

Checkers, this is an interesting question. Any of your vinyl manufacturers have digital products... Is there a specific Product that you are looking for or a specific Brand? If there is a specific brand/manufacturer you are using, have your Purchaser call the manufacturer and ask them which distributor in your area they recommend, in other words who is doing the volume... that's usually the distributor with the best service and price combination. If it’s a specific product… wow! the field seems endless as to what the media is and what each manufacturer is rating it for or calling it. What shops do with the Encads seems to have very little to do with what the respective media is rated or intended for…

Hiya Brian,
Thanks for the reply. I should have waited longer to submit my original post. I was a little peeved at the moment.
I won't bore you with the reasons for wanting to switch so, Ill get right to the point.
What I'm looking for is a manufacturer or supplier that can supply us with everything we need for printing and guarantee compatability with the products they sell.
Currently, we are using a "matched component system" that we buy directly from a manufacturer I wish not to name in a public forum.
The main reasons I buy from them is because they claim that all their media is designed to work extreemly well with Encad inks and I can use them as a soul source. That alone means a lot less paperwork on my end.
There's a lot of companies in this area that can sell media or laminates but not ink or they sell most everything but don't know what laminates are comatable with what media. Plus, few keep the inventory I want or need on a regular basis.
We print with Encad go, gs and gs+ inks mostly on polyester and clear lexan and laminate accordingly. Occasionally, we'll print outdoor graphics.

Thanks for any input,
Checkers
