There's just under a week to sign up for the Letterhead Panel Swap. E-mail me your name and mailing address if you would like to join in. We've got 92 people now!
Take a look at the list below and make sure your name is on it if you were planning on joining in. I think a couple people might have posted that they were interested in previous posts but never sent in their info.
Once all the names are in, I will draw names and send out a name and address for each of you to send your panel to.
I know some of you are itching to get going on this but I had planned all along for this to wind up after Christmas. Take your time, get creative and make some masterpieces!
Make sure you take some good pictures of the panel when you're finished and send me one to post for all to see.
I'll again request that some of you take some pictures of your project as you work on it and put together a small step-by-step. Since Letterville is a perpetual letterhead meet, imagine someone is standing watching over your shoulder as you work. Are you doing anything that maybe someone else might not be sure how to do. Could you use this opportunity to teach someone something new? Please consider it.
Have your panel done and in the mail by the end of January. I'd say start sending them off any time in January after the holiday rush.

Sometimes I just "wake up" and where can be a better place then to hang out here in Letterville!
Besides, I was trying to help Terry get AT LEAST 100 Heads in the panel swap!
Tomorrow I think I'll sleep in until 5:30.

Bumpin up!
73 people now!!!
Posted by Mark Fair Signs (Member # 289) on :
a question terry.
how will it be decided who swaps panels? will you toss everyones name in a hat and select pairs? just wondering.
mark
Posted by Terry Whynott (Member # 1622) on :
Actually, thinking about it, it isn't really a swap. Just a giving.
Everyone's name is going in the hat. First person sends their panel to the second name drawn. Second sends their's to the third. Third to fourth and so on. It keeps some mystery in it. You won't know who is making a panel for you until it shows up at your door!
Posted by Mark Neurohr (Member # 2470) on :
Shootin' for 100! Give Terry an e-mail!
I've just promoted myself to Terry's Marketing Manager (sounds important, doesn't it).
Terry, need you to send me business cards with my new title ASAP!! You wouldn't believe how many have asked for them already!
Posted by captain ken (Member # 742) on :
a swap like this is called a "yankee swap". I like it that way, seems easy. but how does the last person send his panel to?
Posted by Doug Allan (Member # 2247) on :
...to the first!
Posted by PKing (Member # 337) on :
What will be the "theme" of said panels, and sizes? Inquring Minds Want To Know
Posted by Terry Whynott (Member # 1622) on :
Doug's got it! Last to the first.
Mark, I hope you're working overtime this weekend. You've got a ways to go to get 100 in by the end of the month!
Pat, nobody really seemed to want a theme for some reason so go nuts and do what you want with it! As far as size goes, again whatever you want but it's gotta be a reasonable size for mailing (and you'll be paying for it)
Everyone will have their name for sending their panel to in a couple days.

Umm, Mark...You might not be needing those business cards. You've got a day left to recruit 20 people or I'm afraid I'm going to have to let you go.

Posted by Deb Fowler (Member # 1039) on :
C'mon, I emailed you this morning! What's the theme, what's the size? jus curious.
Posted by Terry Whynott (Member # 1622) on :
Deb, I replied to your e-mail late this afternoon.
There is no set theme this time around. As far as size goes, make it whatever your comfortable making and mailing.
