It's a great day here in Wisconsin, sunny and 78 at 10:30am. I WISH I WAS IN LOUISIANA RIGHT NOW! Add my sign to the list of door prizes. I'll be more than happy to ship it to the lucky (or unlucky) winner.

Sorry guys! In order to do TV, we would have had to run well over 200 ft. of DSL or phone line to get to the meet location. In the end, we decided to forgo HeadTV and concentrate on having a good time.
It's been a wonderful 2 days! Lots of rain, but we are high in dry inside Kathy's 40 x 60 ft. shop. Everyone is painting, striping, gilding and exchanging info.
The food is tasty and plentiful. We've feasted on enough Cajun chow to feed a small army. I'm personally responsible for the demise of a large family of crawfish. Aiieeeeeeeee.
We just got back to the hotel after an evening of live Cajun music. Letterheads were seen dancing, playing washboards, cowbells and letting their hair down more than I have seen in many moons. It was a ball!
We've got lots of photos and some video to share with you all as soon as we can find a couple hours to post them. Stay tuned!

The cajun atmosphere is abvious... Great food , great music. wonderfull ppl.. Yankees included .
Every one is doin great with all of us making some great friends.
There is no headTV sorry,,, Not allowed this year.
The band played tonight and we all are having fund dancing, eating and Mardi gras. Had a special appearance.. the Voodoo queenn Marie LeVeaux came by...
RT won the dam Fridge this year... Man he has to buy lottery tickets.
I learned some pinstriping. Thank you Robert. WOW. i got it (drew a straight line ) the first try. Straight as an arrow. Steve got it on video as proof.
Si gave me a tutorial on gold leaf. and timi and don copeland are painting a scene on the shop door that looks like you are looking into the shop..talent is dripping every where,, im sure they will post some pics. Pat is at his spot painting everything that'tl hold still long enuf.
Im not saying any more.. Saving the best for the others to talk about..

W'Yat!!! I'm back from Ponchatoula. I-10 Bridge closed over the Atchafalaya Basin due to an accentent. Cant't say much right now, Too tired. My wishes for a safe trip to those letterhead travelers. 2:30 Friday and 3:00 Sat made for extended days. To be sure, a good time was had by all. With our East Coast and West Coast technical Aces(Timi and Si) working on a showpiece refrigerator and 3 Dons(Hulsey, Copeland, and Pavolini). We had a full house in any poker game.
Thanks go to Kathy and her husband Lloyd, great hosts. R.T. and a hardworking Curtis Hammond. Robert and Joanna are great people and active supporters of the craft we love. Thanks to everyone, who sang danced, painted, coached, encouraged, supplied, laughed and had a good time.

Thanks for the update Santo!! I really hated to miss it but had a bad chain of events that started with my little brother nailing a deer with my van just before I was ready to leave (#4 for the year but only $4,500 damage this time....I was just starting to think those deer whistles actually worked...WRONG!!) They're talking about making us buy additional deer tags if we keep this up!! Posted by Kathy Joiner (Member # 1814) on :
Chris, kinda expensive way to poach deer huh? You could have brought it here and we would have served contraband deer jambalaya. We had a "Shootless" meet only 1 pair of Cajun Reeboks.
We missed the rest of you, but we had a great time. Awesome, awesome panels!
