I was heading to Mars for marrying Jill she should have told me she had a boyfriend!!!... Now I have to prepare a good one in Quebec city next year, I'll keep you posted of my happenings for "French Kiss A Brush" and if you any ideas PLEASE LET ME KNOW! Thank you Jill! And also Thanks to John Hodgins and his lovely wife Mary for having us stayed at their home in Batavia last wednesday!

Been to Quebec City twice, loved it!.
It would be my first Letterhead meet.
Would love to meet yourself and Mario and Bob D. and all the other Canadian "heads".
Keep me informed.

Sorry I didn't get to meet you at Mars. Been to Quebec, and found most of the people don't speak English. How do you intend to handle this? When in a restaurant, they had to send out for a translator.

OUI! SOunds Great Pierre! I'll be there! Hey Bill, looks like you better get to a book store and get yourself a French Book eh? I'm going to Frnace in 3 weeks and I know for a fact that the people are rude and if they CAN speak English, they WILL NOT just **** you off. I look forward to getting to know enough French to get by and even letter some signs in French! I have been in contact with a Gentleman who has a Sign Shop in Germany, and I will visit him as well and hope to learn more German. I've even convinced him to come to the Meet in England ! His web site is as follows...www.brandt-werbetechnik.de The word for "Sign Painter" in German is.."Schilder-Maler" You see Bill, experiment, get in the mix! It's fun!

I lived in Quebéc just long enough to find out that if you try and prove that you can speak french (no matter how pathetic the attempt) they will try and prove to you that they can speak english... Hey Mike, my papers read Schriftenmaler, I've always wondered if they are going to change that to Schriftenkleber Posted by Pierre Tardif (Member # 3229) on :
Hey Bill! You're right...everything here is french and that's why it will be fun. You've been in Mars a place OUT OF THIS WORLD and in Québec you'll be in a place OUT OF THIS CONTINENT! I hope you'll come! Watch out this bulletin board 'cause every month until the meet I'll post a few words in french with their english translation so you'll know ALL the most important words when you come next year!!!
Have Fun!

Hi Pierre, My "girls" and I can't wait to attend next year! There are so few meets nearby that we can go to... Cornwall, last year was our first and we had the BEST time! I noticed that there will be a limit of 75 people so PLEASE put me down for 3 people... Si vous plait!

Please let me indulge.
All those "French" people who jack you around about the French - English thing, know how to speake English.
IT was explained to me that if a French person walked into a Toronto restaurant and orderd the meal in french, this same rule applied.
Both English and French come from Latin.
You would be surprised at how many words are the same root meaning!
All you crazy Americans, come on up and don't be afraid of the language thing.
If you don't know Quebec City, it is one of the most beautiful and historic cities (town) in all of North America!!!!!
