Can't wait!!!!

Joe- what time were you starting your workshop on Thursday?

I'm guessing thursday at about noon or so for us, unless Scotty can beam us there in the morning. Hey Faye, is there still camping on the farmer's land? in case we want to do that? we do have a motel room, but if the weather is good, camping might be more fun at least one night.

Hey is there a nice bridge I could sleep under? I've never done THAT before!! [Wink]

We will be coming in stealth ---no pinstripes --- no lettering ---

We just bought a "new" Aerostar van. We will pick it up tuesday and head out Wed morning. The old one had one window stuck up and the other stuck down. It only had 190k miles but it was so rusty I didn't dare go to a car wash.

We expect to show up about 6pm WED at the Red Roof. Where is a good place to eat??

Jill,

I have an important question or 2 to ask about the Mars' meet. As being one of the people who haven't pre-registered or sent any money, is it still possible to plan on attending? Will there be arrangements made to accept registration at the door, wherever that may be? Or is it by pre-registration only?

Now the most important question. Do you
accept CASH? (paper-type)

If the answer to most of these questions is no, then sorry I missed it & have a nice meet. Otherwise, I'll see you on Thursday.

Thanks,

We're still planning on heading out just after 9am on Tuesday morning. Our 5 year old Grand Daughter Lydia is travelling with us this trip.

The plan is to spend Tuesday in Niagara Falls showing Lydia all the sights. Hope to take a ride on The Maid Of The Mist and Lydia wants to see The Haunted House. We'll cross the border Tuesday evening and seek refuge at Bruce and Dana Bower's home.

Mars is about a 3 hour drive from the Buffalo area, so with a little luck, we should arrive shortly after noon on Wednesday. Come join us!

C'mon down. all are welcome. registration at door, or booth , i should say. jill has been so busy,it is hard to catch all questions. mars is a small town, noone should have trouble finding the letterheads. they will be everywhere. jill has it set up nicely.panel jam area, whittling area,pin-stripers, the buildings are being painted , the train car, wall murals. you name it. lots to see and do.fiddles. [Smile]

i'm renting a car at the airport, so Felix, John and I will be rolling in between 8 and 9. i guess we'll look for the bar...

is Mars too far south for Gennessee beer? (i haven't had a Genny Cream in twenty years... sort of miss it from my college days). Hey Steve -- maybe you and Barb can pick up a case for me in Buffalo?

Posted by Kissymatina (Member # 2028) on :

Scooter, you can get Genny here. You can also get Rolling Rock seeing as it is made in Latrobe, a mere 1 1/2 hours (if that) from Mars.

See you sometime Wednesday evening. Gotta take dog to kennel betwwen 6 & 7, then I'm heading east. Takes me about an hour, so I'm guessing I should be crash landing in mars by 8 pm.

BY THE WAY, I got the Pittsburgh paper today and there is a HUGH, I mean HUGH article about the meet in it, pict of Jill and everything. They did the photo in black & white... probably so we'd all have to go to the meet to see what color her hair is for this one.

Pittsburgh is gorgeous, with our new stadiums and the rivers. lots of good Pa. food and sights to see at the Point. the area is full of local color. a lot of jillbean original signage is available for viewing.LOL. i am sure you will find plenty pleasing to the eye. fiddles.
