I've got Bitstream Font Navagator loaded and have recently downloaded some "free" truetype fonts down off the internet. The fonts show up on the right-hand side of the program under "installed fonts", but are not shown at all on the left hand column labeled "Contents of font catalogue".
The internet fonts on in the "installed fonts" column also have what I would describe as a yellow "starburst" icon next to the font. If I try to drag the "internet" font from the "installed fonts" column to the "Contents of font catalogue" column...it's apparently gone forever...
If I click on the font in the "installed fonts" column, I get a nice preview of the font just like any other truetype fonts....what am I doing wrong here? Any ideas why I can't turn these fonts "on and off" like the others??? Thanks.

Hi Todd,
The starbursts mean that they aren't in the Font Catalog. It sounds like you installed them directly to the Windows font folder, but the real power of Font Navigator is that you don't have to do that.
Just put any of your fonts in a regular folder somewhere, as a matter of fact, I've got all of the fonts from the Corel cd's copied to a folder on my hard drive.
Then click on File-Find fonts and select the folders or drives that you wish to search for fonts. It will then update the font catalog and you can install them easily back and forth from there. Hope that made sense.
