Saleman is inquiring about putting a graphic 4' x 3' on entrance floor of restaurant.

My first thought was One-Shot however, the customer wants it SEALED as well.

Is there a clear laminate or clear coat that is recommended??
Would I need to primer the area first?

I also mentioned getting a print as an option (ya' know those prints you see in the grocery store down the ceral isle that have the heavy duty laminate on them).

Any other options out there??
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I would use acid stain... it goes right into the concrete... then sealer to bring our the colors. The longer you leave the stain on the brighter the colors.

we manufacture a 3M scotchprint product just for exterior sidewalk graphics. similar to the interior floor graphics in that there are 2 parts, the base print, and a overlaminate. it's slip resistant laminate makes the total graphic 7mil thick and very heavy duty. outside temperature need to be 50 deg. F or higher for best adhesion. i also like the acid etch/stain on sidewalks, make a very nice permenant graphic.

Acid Stain, eh?

Never heard of it. Is it something I can pick up at Home Depot?

Does it go on it's substrate just like lettering one-shots?

curious.....

The stains are becoming very fashionable although they are not available in pms colors ,available at any concrete supplier.

Depot sells powders..have not seen much liquid form there...

Hope this helps!

If you have no experience, I would suggest the 3-m graphic that was suggested...I weould play witht he stains before offering them to a client.

Hi Corey,
That's what you get for eating meat. Switch to grains & vegies.

Just thought I'd throw this in there for those with more questions than answers.

It's a very useful site for basic info.
