We are unable to send all of our files to cut successfully on our Gerber Envision 30" plotter. About a 50% success rate. When we have a problem it is usually unfinished or distorted letters in random areas of the job. We performed all of the "elimination" tests with no results. We can still cut from Inspire no problem. I'm starting to hear "driver issues" and "Scanvec blames Gerber blames Scanvec...." Anyone else having this output problem?
Thanks in advance!

Dan, If Inspire can drive the Envision and it looks OK, but Flexisign doesn't look good 50% of the time I don't think it's the plotter. Scanvec wrote their own drivers for the Envision. Either they are sending bad data or the data they are sending is aggravating the "contour" logic of the plotter. The latter is tough to believe since there are a lot of these devices in the field and not having these problems. Let's see what others say.

Tony,
I agree that it is not the plotter itself.
Are you currently running Flexi 7 with an Envision on Windows 2000 or do you know of anyone with the same setup that I might be able to talk to?
Thanks, Dan

I don't run a Gerber plotter, but ran into a similar problem with my wide format printer. I just upgraded to FlexiPro 7 from 6.6 on Win2000, and it worked fine at first, then had the same problem. Try removing the plotter driver from Production Manager, and then reinstall it. As strange as it may sound, it worked great for me after that.

Hi,
Get rid of anything newer than windows 98 and you won't regret it. Does your puter freeze up? If it ever does, back down to the 98 before you have to turn it off five times a day improperly. I have an lmk to connect Gerber 6.2 with my gerber 4B. Now i can't find the security key. Do you know the easiest way to get another one? Does Gerber replace those without huge expense? Just thought I would ask you since this is Gerber related. Good luck, deb dfo7503884@aol.com
