It's been horrible the last few nights. Some websites come up lightning fast, such as Letterhead.com yet others just don't come up at all.

Just wondering if anyone else was hiving trouble.

I'm in southern California by the way.

i didn't notice any problems. (i'm in northern california). sometimes a hub or router "star" network goes down (or, as the fiber optic techs say, "goes dark") and everything has to get re-routed another way. sort of like flying LA to NY and having to lay over in Seattle...

I have even more trouble with earthlink dial up than I used to have with AOHell. And as a f'rinstance = this website is even slower, disappears and freezes up more with e than with A. Buggy & glitchy, both of them.

Earthlink DSL doing fine here in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida.

My Earthlink dial up was pretty flawless too, back before switching to dsl. It was pretty spunky on speed too ... for a dial up.

Bruce ... if service is varying between websites, this is usually a sign that it's that particular websites server that is slower, not yours.

My earthlink DSL has been just fine here in so. California!

Some sites load slow because they have a slow server...it may seem OK for dial-up users, but take forever for high speed users. It's all relative.
