I am merley trying to incourage up coming signmakers to enjoy the benifits of a "LIVE" get to meet people face to face(smile to smile) LETTERHEAD MEET! I made a lot of excuses for not making my FIRST meet also. Even blamed my customers for keeping from NOT going to one. Belive me it will change you for the better.
Just don't BLAME me!!

P KIng, I am more than looking foward to going to one. We have so much stuff take care of here that it is hard for my wife and I to take trips that would take more than a day or two so I would only be able to go to one within a reasonable distance from where we live. You live in Alabama, you guys have one there every so often don't you? We go to Birmingham every once in a while (my step dad has got family there and I can't resist a Pete's Hot Dog and a Grapico) so if you have one there or another one fairly close, I will be there. Have a gudin', I gotta make signs all day today too, on Sunday my Official Off Day, oh well being slammed is better than not having any business so I thank the Lord for blessing me.

John, Why not have a letterhead meet at YOUR PLACE and all us "Dixie Letterheads" can come over there! Sorry you mised my DUCK SOUP meet last September. Seems like Sam Sanflippo is hankern' to have one in B'ham in a spell.

If you saw my shop you'd die! Right now, I am working out of a '95 Fleetwood Trailer and the foyer in my house(thats where my cutting machine is, YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW) I would have a hard time getting 5 people in my place and that ain't no lie. If I get my wish and get a shop sometime in the future (who knows when though) it sure would be a good way to break it in. I wasn't really active on this board in sept., and I wish I had made it to the Alabama meet. Is McCalla near Biringham? If it is, next time we go that way we will swing by. My stepdads sister lives in a small town outside of Birmingham but I can't rightly remember the name of it but their brother used to be a policeman in Birmingham and everbody there seems to know them. If you ever get over to Ga., stop by too just look for the ugliest sign on highway 29,(it's a long stupid story on why my sign is so ugly, all my customers even ask me and I reply "you don't want to know") that's where my place is. With luck, maybe a strong gust of wind will blow it away or maybe a car will hit it soon, it is right on the highway so the odds are pretty good on the 2nd one, anyways.

I guarentee you guys that the next one that is in Dixieland, I'll be there UNLESS something stupid happens. I don't know what was going on when the kings bay one happened but we sometimes get tied down since my wife still runs our families pizza place and I won't drive by myself way far cause I have this falling asleep at the wheel thing going on, I'll even fall asleep drivin in broad daylight if I drive for over an hour or so! My wife won't even let me drive at night anymore cause shes so scared! I know it is an excuse BUT it may be Pats fault!
