Happy Canada Day to all the Canadians! And to our American friends Happy July 4th in a couple of days!
The greatness of our two countries was brought home to me in a personal way when I did a lot of murals a few years ago.
Doing the murals meant a lot of time on the road... mostly in the summertime. And we were priviledged to spend these holidays in many communities on both sides of the border as we travelled and worked on the road for more than a decade. We saw many celebrations and observed many customs... happy times.
And everywhere we travelled as strangers, we were welcomed as friends. This made me realize how fortunate we are to live in freedom and prosperity. To travel and work all across these two great lands was even more of a bonus.
So be thankful. We are fortunate people.
And happy national day on both sides of the border!
