Just finished a "Grand Opening" splash at a new car dealer..and had a paint spill. It's not a lot of paint but there are a few light blue spots left from the spill. I cleaned up as much as possible with mineral spirits. Anybody got a remedy? I thought about tinting some white One Shot to match and pouring over spill..hope yall go a better idea. Thanks, Judy

take a piece of concrete or cement block and rub it over the spill. sort of like sanding it.

sanding it with a block of concret sounds good to me as long as you dont scuff up the surface to much. you might also try a high presure washer and blast it off with water if its realy bad. out here they mix baking soda in the water when they blast off paint done by tagers, the bakeing soda acts as a mild abrasive and wont harm the surface like concret or marbel. i dont think I would try adding more paint over it , it might make for a bigger mess. I dont know what the specs for your window job were...but i do all my splash windows in water based paints were the clean up is much easyer and drying time is faster....good luck

Tough luck Judy - I feel your pain!
It's too late to do it now, but if you can catch a spill while it's still wet, do the mineral spirits thing but add some dirt to the mix. Rub the dirt/MS mix into the spill with your foot then wash away the dirt/paint mixture. It may take a few batches, but it will get most of it up.
At this stage, a pressure washer may work - depends on how pourous the concrete is.

You also might get a quart of paste type paint remover at Home Depot or the equivalent. Brush it on, let it sit for a few minutes and wash it off.

Thanks for your advise. My customer wasn't as worried about the spill as much as I was. He told me today that he would have his men pressure wash it off. I will tell them to try baking soda idea. Pat..wished I had known about mixing dirt and mineral spirits earlier. I will remember that next time it happens. Thanks, Judy
