I've got to provide a quotation to a local council for 5 signs 3m x 2.4m (10ft x 8ft)with a digital print 2m x 1.7m ( 6ft x 5.5ft) and other vinyl lettering and graphics. Steel substrate. I don't usually like asking things like this but to tell you all the truth...I'm stumped .

Hiya Lee, Sounds like it could be a nice project. A couple of questions. Are all the signs the same? How long do they have to last? Is this an existing structure that you're relettering or will you be fabricating these from scratch at your shop? Who's handling the installation? If they're all the same with just a simple layout, I,ll shoot from the hip and say the price would be about $1200 - $1500 each, plus the additional cost of the steel background. Delivery & installation would be quoted seperately. I've never worked with steel before. So, I don't know how much additional costs, if any, there would be as compared to a standard background like MDO or aluminum. Havin' fun, Checkers

Brian, yeah I've got to manufacture frames, & install, all signs are different but with a very similar layout. I'd love to get this job that's why i've asked the question here. My price for the sign came out to about the same as yours plus frame & install. The steel is thin 0.55mm or 26 gauge, with a tube frame to the back.
