Hi all. It's been a while since I've posted on here and the site has gone through some major changes since I last posted. Hopefully this is the place to post this question. I'm looking to possibly purchase the Gerber Odyssey plotter and wanted any feedback from anyone who has used it or owns one. We currently have the old stand by 4B and would like something for our bigger graphic needs. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! Have a great day!!

Hi there!
I know Dave Draper has an Odyssey plotter.
I don't, but thought about it a couple of years ago, was in the same position thinking about a replacement for my Sprint and S750, it was quite tough having been a Gerber only shop for many years.
I made the choice to buy a Summa T Pro series cutter with OPOS, I don't regret it at all.
I am finally enjoying my Omega software, and have just bought an Edge so all is not lost as far as Gerber is concerned, just think you should take a look at Summa as well perhaps.

I own an Odyssey and I love it.
My favorite thing about it is how I can load vinyl in crooked and it will automatically align it and keep it aligned regardless of the length to be cut. I cut 48"x 50yd. rolls of reflective vinyl for a client on a regular basis and have yet to have it screw anything up.
If you have any specific questions or concerns, feel free to contact me anytime. Posted by Todd Gill (Member # 2569) on June 05, 2002 02:57 PM:
My buddy has one...and I've used it...and Glenn is right...it's a darn nice unit.
Henry is right too .... Summa's higher end stuff is nice. I like my D750 Pro....Graphtec would be my other choice.

Rick,
You planning on attending the regional sign show at the BWI Holiday Inn next Friday/Saturday? If you are, we can review a few things for consideration about the machine if you would like. I’ll be in the Baltimore area Thursday and then at the show itself for Friday only.
