Hi Ian
Its chilly up here so am presuming you are freezing down there.
Checked out my cd & safet sign brochures and none of them have a symbol for asbestos, though that doesn't mean somewhere or other there isn't one

Ian, never seen an "official" asbestos sign, but if yer did a "skull and crossbones" with "asbestos" in bold caps underneath, I think the message would get across!

Kerry it is quite chilly here now but the old wood fire helps a lot until we have to go out. Thought of that one John but someone at council is of the opinion that there is a symbol for it but I have never seen one maybe somebody will know [Smile] [Smile] [Smile]

That's about the best I can find..

Here in the US, asbestos removal bags simply have "WARNING: CONTAINS ASBESTOS" printed on them, no special logos or symbols.

Hi Ian, I have a european handbook here for safety markings and there is none in particular for asbestos. I assume it would go under health hazardous material which is marked with a yellow triangle with black border and a bold X. Details are writen underneath the warning sign.

Mike Pipes wins...http://www.cariboo.bc.ca/hsafety/whmis/symbol.htm "Class D division 2" they even identify asbestos as being covered under that particular symbol.

Nice going Mike...
