I haven't been able to connect to our #Letterville chat all day. I keep getting a message that I am banned: ERROR You are banned from this network. -20- hours banned: Abuse IP Address always use for flood\Clone\advertise\etc. Placed by yAhoo on (Wed May 29 19:37:51 2002) contact: <kline@webchat,org > (ID: =ZgEgAwKJD0P1Hc<)
I try to connect thru the green button chat and I can't use it either. I can't get an e-mail to go thru to the address in the ERROR message so I don't understand what's going on. Anybody with answers? E-mail me or post to this topic please. Judy

Judy,
This may or not be it, but when I was hooked up with BS DSL I got banned a few times, it was a batch ban, they were tryin to find somebody in particular...email them and they will prolly send you an opology etc., like they did me LOL. Plus, you'll be "hooked" back up.
I've gotten on chat with no problem tonight.

ya, certain isp's are banned at time due to abuse from soem hacker. For example. AOL is permanently banned from the Chatzone on Dal.Net because of abuse from AOL based hackers.
Sometimes a local ISP server will go out and pull down an entire network . in that case that entire isp back bone may be (locked) banned until the server can be rebooted.
